We had a truly terrible experience with Shenzhen Tuowei Model Technology. We approached them to manufacture a custom dental product — nothing complicated, just a simple plastic and silicone design.

They looked legitimate on Alibaba, with decent reviews and Trade Assurance, so we trusted them and paid thousands of dollars upfront for the mould and initial production.

They promised delivery in three months. Four months later, they sent us a sample that was completely unusable — not only poor in quality, but they had also made several changes to the design without our consent. We reminded them to stick to the original design, and after some back and forth, we agreed on a slightly modified version. Another month passed. The second sample arrived and was still unacceptable. We gave them clear feedback and asked for improvements.

Then came the third sample — this time after six months — and it was just as bad as the others. We asked them to test the quality before shipping any more samples, and they confirmed they would. But even in months seven and eight, they kept sending the same low-quality samples. It was becoming clear they were either not listening or simply incapable of producing something usable.

We finally found another manufacturer, asked Tuowei to ship us the mould, and had it fixed in less than a week. The new manufacturer immediately saw the issues and delivered a perfect sample within two weeks. Their opinion was that Tuowei’s mould was made with incredibly poor workmanship.

After all this, we respectfully requested a refund — not for the mould, which we did receive (albeit poorly made), but for the production payment we made in advance, since we never ended up manufacturing a single unit with them. They refused. We turned to Alibaba for support, expecting Trade Assurance to help us recover at least some of our losses. They did absolutely nothing. We were left with nothing.
This company was a disaster from start to finish.

They broke deadlines, ignored instructions, produced unusable samples, and ultimately kept money for work they never delivered. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. If you value your time, your money, or your sanity — stay far away.

Working with Shenzhen Tuowei Model Technology was one of the worst decisions we’ve made. We paid thousands for a simple dental product mould and were promised delivery in 3 months. Eight months later, after multiple delays and useless samples, they still couldn’t get it right. The quality was awful, and they ignored our design instructions more than once. We finally gave up, had the mould fixed by another manufacturer in a week, and received a perfect sample shortly after.

We asked Tuowei for a refund for the production payment (not the mould), since we never made a single unit with them — they refused. Alibaba’s so-called Trade Assurance was no help at all. This company wasted our time, delivered junk, and kept money they didn’t earn. Avoid them.
