I appreciate that the tutor was conscientious enough to check which exam board and texts are being used for his GCSE subject. I also appreciate that you are charged after the lesson has taken place and you receive notifications concerning this. The tutor sends a summary of what’s been covered in the lesson and supporting notes.

My daughter and I wanted to learn some basic French in readiness for our holiday to France. Through Tutor Hunt we found an amazing tutor in Madeleine, who makes our 1 hour weekly lesson fun and interesting whilst gradually improving our spoken French. My daughter and I were both beginners with only a smattering of French words and phrases between us and after just 6 months we can read GCSE level French and understand how to use the present, past and future tenses. I’m amazed at how much we’ve learnt in such a short time. If you are looking for help with GCSE or A’Level French tutoring, Tutor Hunt would also be an excellent place to find your perfect teacher.

I’ve been using Tutor Hunt for years, but my recent experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I was charged twice for a single lesson. I reported the issue through their feedback form, waited a week, then followed up by email. Still no response. I even tried calling the phone number on their website, but couldn’t reach anyone.

What’s most concerning is not just the double charge, but the complete lack of customer support. When something goes wrong, there is simply no way to get help.

A company’s quality shows when problems arise — and in this case, Tutor Hunt has failed badly. If this isn’t resolved soon, I will be forced to close my account and cancel my ongoing lessons, which is not something I want to do.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

Really easy to find a suitable tutor for my 15 year old daughter. Simple to set up and easy to describe what we wanted. She diligently dials in to her lesson every week,

My son is enjoying his A-level Maths lessons, James is patient and covers specific details of chosen topics, and explains methods well.

Their funding model shouldn’t be allowed. Taking a huge proportion of the lesson fee for nothing. I’m writing to my MP about these business practices. Taking such a huge amount, is akin to employment. In do doing so, they should offer workers rights and pay taxes accordingly.
