Visited the Whiteley branch with my wife's car to check tracking. The front reception couldn't have been more helpful and on collection a full explanation and no charge😊 as no adjustment needed. We will continue to use and recommend them.
I've used this garage before and all was good.....but then nothing went wrong those times.
Had 4 tyres replaced here after hitting a pot hole. 2 were replaced as one had burst (and I always replace both on the same axel), 2 more were replaced because there was a vibration felt through the car and Tyreshops told me I needed two new tyres. It didn't fix the vibration, so I took it back a few days later. This time they told me a wheel was buckled. Upon asking how they managed to balance the wheel if it was buckled, they stated "it's obviously been buckled since we last saw it"! Think I would have noticed hitting another pothole!!
Have to ask myself did I really need that second set of tyres?
I've since seen the inner rim of the wheel and when removed it's obvious that it has been buckled; my 8 yr old even spotted it in an instant. Shame the Tyreshop managed to miss it as it's clear that this is the primary cause of the vibration. I have now taken it to a wheel specialist to see if it can be repaired and upon removing the wheel they stated that it wasn't correctly balanced.
I have complained to Tyreshop via email and their own 'customer satisfaction' email ......no response. Nothing.
Wasn't looking for anything other than an apology, a simple "terribly sorry our mistake, we missed it". But they can't even bring themselves to do that. Although still concerned how they balanced the wheel with such a buckle on it.....perhaps they didn't, which is why the other shop said it wasn't balanced properly...?
As I say, this place is great if all goes well but clearly, they have no idea how to deal with customers when it goes wrong; instead lapsing back into the disreputable type of business so many in the motor industry are trying to distance themselves from.
