Just Got Terminated For No Wrong Doing
The support team just literally terminated my account for no reason. I’m so pissed I worked my ass off for 11 days straight 5 star show up my probability rate went up to 97.6%, Then to do this to me! I’m definitely fighting back. My termination is not legit, if it was I wouldn’t mind at all saying I did wrong I don’t know who made this decision but I’m fighting back. I have pure honor in being honest and transparent and finding a solutions my integrity is in tact…I never received a warning, write up, notice or violation of any kind. I showed up to all my shifts on time…I live in Minnesota and I’m getting legal representation so they won’t do this to anybody else who lives in this state.

Everything works out fine if you never make a single mistake ever and never need to contact support.
I’m not sure how other cities are, but the jobs around me never gave contact information for anyone at the companies looking to fill shifts and contacting support and cancelling shifts is a nightmare. Support ignores viable documentation for reasonable emergencies, such as doctor’s notes and hospitalization records. They have no phone number, just an online chat, so there’s no real way to prove support is actually being monitored by people and not AI bots.
They’re not transparent about pay or any of their practices and it’s impossible to find information on their website.
I got fired on my day off
I got fired on my day off! Literally! A company was able to post a multi day shift for 10/2 -10/3 & never accept me until 10/3 & they also confirmed the shift as if I did, & I received a No call no show for 10/2 but I never got accepted for the shift until 10/3! Plus I never accepted neither shift , just applied . I tried to contract Upshift as soon as I noticed what was happening but the only way to contact Upshift is via text. Their response was their generic response : Their support team will investigate within 72hrs & asked me to send in any documentation to support my disagreement, which I sent all notifications, email. & text I received from Upshift, to support my disagreement. So until Upshift corrects a few communication. & dispute process, I would not recommend this company! I was using this site to pic up extra part time work & was an excellent employee at every job & on time! So this assures me that this company has issues.

It would do yourself a lot of good by taking the time to research these high turn over companies ratings and reviews, these apps are misleading and will have you wasting time and gas on opportunities that aren't there,my advice is to just apply for a regular job before sitting around on a wing and a prayer trying to get accepted for one.

I got suspended easily & a lack of customer support. Also, there were few jobs appearing on the app in my city. So I drove 30 minutes, got lost, & got fired for arriving late. Then I was terminated from the Upshift site with 3 strikes even though I cancelled my shift. Upshift claimed I hadn't bothered to cancel my shift. But I know my cancellation went through because the app told me I would receive 1 point; my first lost point for being unreliable. Instead I lost 3 points as a no show, no call and was fired. I wasted my day, half a tank of gas driving around lost, plus I had spent $40 buying the required shoes, pants & shirt. & I had to pay for a back ground check to prove I wasn't a criminal. So it's likely upshift is primarily makeing their income charging poor, work desperate people for criminal back ground checks on themselves. All just to be fired and no sympathy from upshift upon replying with my story upon termination. Thanks for nothing upshit.

They never have any work available. I don’t understand how they have four stars honestly. I feel like I waisted my time. When they do post something, they only need one or two people. You have about 50 applying! Don’t waste your time seriously.
Lack of professionalism
Hello, I hope that this message absolutely gets to someone in a position of power. I recently had a phone interview for your community representative/on boarding specialist. The phone interview lasted two minutes where I was asked the questions; “ what days are you available?” “ how soon would you be able to start?” I answered: “ I have open availability and I can start immediately” within two minutes of our two minute phone call. The representative of this company said I will pass over your information to the hiring team. Once we got off the phone, I have received the email that this company will not be going forth with me after two minutes of previously getting off of the phone. 1. There was a child screaming in the background so the person could not hear me and complain that there was a delay in the phone when in actuality, her child was just screaming, and she could not hear me very well. 2. She did not speak clearly, and seemed very tired. 3. I am more than qualified for this role and do not deserve to be lied to. I expected so much better from this company.

I've always been in a good work environment and anytime I've ever had any issue it was always resolved quickly. Also I've had the opportunity to work in some interesting places with wonderful groups of people its been a blast.

The process is very easy and once the shift I applied for was accepted, all information was provided and was very precise. It was a great experience and I would definitely like to pick up another shift there when my schedule permits. The staff was very welcoming and super cool. Awesome experience!!
