This is for VDO Australia
This is for VDO Australia. I sent in a polite and descriptive email concerning a VDO car clock I had bought online which was faulty. Actually it was two emails, as I sent in another one not long after, as a follow up with extra information. Neither was replied to, and that was well over a month ago. This is one of the rudest things a company can do; not much happens in the world without communication. I used the current email address given on the VDO Australia web page, so no excuses. Most likely whoever read them and may have even passed them on to a more relevant section within the company - who then decided neither was not worth answering. Maybe too many questions? Or maybe too many insightful observations.
While I'm here, the VDO dash clock I received was advertised as new, from a Chinese seller on ebay based out of the USA. It was new with instructions but out of its original box and sent in some thin bubble wrap. Pretty disrespectful sending a delicate automotive instrument 16,000 kilometers this way. However I received a full refund so can't complain. It works when connected to a car battery however one of the tiny plastic time adjuster buttons did not work and the other button was so stiff that I will be surprised if it holds up after a few years of uses in setting the time. Over the years there have been many different countries where VDO gauges are made (originally a German company I think and made there) - this clock was manufactured in Malaysia.
