Not only did Watch-Winder.Store have great prices for what I liked, they shipped quickly and communicated clearly throughout the process. When l realized that my problem was my watches needing to be demagnetized and not with my current winder they were very understanding and issued a refund immediately upon receipt of the winder which I returned. When I do actually need to buy another winder, this is the business that I will look to do business with!

Waiting on refund

I ordered a humidor in March and the address placed on the order was wrong. I lived at the address for 5 years. I check it again and can find no fault. On the email the seller implied I got the address wrong. I was informed I will get a refund once the item has been returned by royal mail. However the order was placed 1st March 22 and still no refund. I have now requested this from PayPal. Very very poor service.

Update: We have discussed this delivery with Royal Mail and they have asked us to raise a claim with them so that they can investigate as they cannot explain what has happened with it. Given that this will take 6 - 8 weeks I have asked PayPal to refund you whilst Royal Mail investigate. We cannot send you another until this investigation is complete.

First Reply:

I am sorry that there has been a problem with this delivery. I have shared a copy of the shipping label via PayPal so that you can see the humidor was sent by us to the address exactly as provided by you when you ordered. As discussed we import these from PayPal into Royal Mail's labelling program so there cannot be an error with the address.

If you check the tracking on the Royal Mail website (tracking number provided via PayPal) you will also see that Royal Mail are still saying "Incorrectly addressed. Returned to sender." We have yet to receive the humidor back. The tracking shows this.

As we did not hear from you again after sharing the tracking information and it had not been returned we had assumed that Royal Mail had tried to deliver it again and it had been received by you.

We will raise this with Royal Mail when they reopen on Tuesday. It can take some time for things to be returned but this is longer than normal.

As you can now see, we did sent it to the address you gave when you ordered, Royal Mail had a problem with this address and they have then not returned the humidor to us yet. These are all things we have no control over. We will deal with it as soon as we get to the bottom of this with Royal Mail.

Helpful and responsive

I had a problem with the watch winder I purchased from this company (not compatible with my watch so not a problem of their making at all, but rather my fault for ordering the wrong item) - Nick was very helpful in guiding me with the return process. All emails were replied to very quickly and the refund was received on the day they received the parcel back.
I would highly recommend this company,

Wrong product delivered, over 1 month later and issue is not resolved

I bought a watch display case to be delivered to a different address from my own as a birthday gift for someone. It arrived on the 27th October, and on the 29th I found out that a different, lower priced case had been delivered instead of the one originally ordered, and did not contain a key in the packaging for locking the case either.

The company refused to exchange the item, I had to send it back and receive a refund in order to purchase the case again. It was refunded on the 9th November and I tried to repurchase, however Watch Winder will not allow me to place another order:
"For some reason we seem to have sent you the wrong colour on purpose (so we knew that we were sending a black one) and I need to get to the bottom of why we did this"
"We need to track your sale through and find out what went wrong. We also have an email in to the supplier about the keys".

With no other update after that, I queried again and got this response on the 23rd November: "I have yet to get to the bottom of it. I will talk to the person responsible today".
That is the last update so far, now writing this on the 3rd of December it has been over a month since the initial issue with Watch Winder sending the wrong item and refusing to process another order until they found out 'what went wrong'. I understand that the company want to make sure this doesn't happen again, but this has resulted in a disappointingly delayed birthday present. It has been frustrating to keep chasing up the company with no prompt customer service or resolution on their part.

Problems with deliveries are rare and when they do happen we refund the customer as soon as we receive the item back and then work to understand what caused the problem before sending a replacement, to ensure that the problem does not happen again.

This customer ordered a watch case in a wooden finish but we delivered the case she ordered in a black finish. The black version is currently on sale, so is cheaper, but the customer did receive the same case not a different model - it was the right item but in the wrong colour.

The customer contacted us five days after dispatch and we immediately replied with return instructions. The customer told us that her boyfriend then went on a trip so the case was only received back just over two weeks after dispatch.

The customer says the issue has not been resolved but she was refunded in full on the day it arrived back with us and around half the time after the problem was first raised was taken by a delay in returning the watch case.

Since the case was returned we have discussed the issue internally and contacted the supplier about the missing keys. We have also responded to all of the customer's messages promptly.

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, FAST SHIPPING.

I was a little weary with the price being so good in comparison to other watch cases I had seen online, however the quality of the product is stunning and the delivery was exceptionally fast, really pleased with my purchase.

Watch winder

I purchased a watchwinder from watchwinder.co.uk in summer 2014 and it was a well made and very expensive looking product, however it suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago and I dropped them a mail to make them aware with limited expectations of a resolution as I'd had it 6 months. Nick at watchwinder could not have been more attentive. He sent me a couple of new adaptors immediately, that didn't rectify it, he stayed in constant contact and sent me a whole host of parts and instructions on how to repair my winder to avoid the expense of me having to send it back to him, I'm delighted to say it is now working again. Things go wrong, it's how they are rectified and Nick went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I had a functioning winder. Top notch customer service, Thanks guys.

I received my new watch case yesterday. amazingly fast delivery! It is just what I’d hoped it would be. Lovely quality and also able to hold the 48mm Hublots and Panarai's. Would recommended this website to all.

Disappointing poor quality control chinese made product

I purchased a 24 watch display case for my husbands birthday, after reading on the companies website what fantastic quality it was. You can image my disappointment when on closer inspection there are marks on the edge of the under side lid. These marks are hard glue residue that it obviously a quality issue during manufacturing. Also a brass fixture totally came away from the case as it had not been correctly glued (if this had of happened when my husbands expensive collection was in the tray it could have resulted in hundreds of pounds in damage to part of his watch collection). These points could be rectified by ourselves and we did in fact colour the hard glue to match with a dark furniture wood touch up pen and we re glued the brass fixture. This is not something you should have to do on a item which has been purchased for a birthday present and was described as superb quality. We contacted watch winder via email and sent pictures of the problems and suggested rather than returning it would be easy for us to rectify the problems ourselves, we also didn't want to take another day of work. We suggested that a partial refund would be in order as this would be easier for both parties. The email we got back suggested a partial refund of £10 but also implied we have damaged it ourselves as it couldn't have left them in this state. I felt very upset that they would even suggest such an action. It was clearly a production fault and this could be seen in the pictures and there was no way it could have been checked prior to dispatch. You could also see that when it arrived that the box had never been open and was externally undamaged. Why they felt the need to take this view I do not know. Their customer service is lacking to say the least and quality needs to be improved by the manufacturer. The person who replied to our email wants some customer service training as their response just made matters worse. I could not recommend this company and if you can find a similar product else where I would buy from them. Try not to buy something made in China.

We have only just found this review. We were not made aware by the customer at the time that they were as unhappy with the product or our service as they state in their review, and did not receive a message from Trustpilot that the review had been posted. It is always easier to deal with problems direct rather than via a semi-anonymous feedback forum. We have, however, tracked this transaction down, and would like to reply as follows.

When this customer first contacted us about a problem with their watch case delivery, they asked for a partial refund in their very first email. This is unusual and not something we do. Problems with products are rare and when they do happen customers usually want to return the item for a refund or replacement, which is what we do as standard. This customer seemed to quickly become frustrated with us because we asked them to return it. Perhaps we were a little insistent on this, but we did not suggested they damaged the case and, we think, offered great support, asking them to return it at our cost for a full refund or replacement in our very first reply.

We take problems with our products and comments on our customer service very seriously. Problems with products are rare but, because all of our items are all delivered in the mail or via a courier rather than collected from a shop, they can happen even after the item has been checked by us prior to dispatch. In this instance there were some very small marks on the underside of the lid, and one of the handles for the tray inside the case was loose - as the customer states in their review. Not major faults, but faults nonetheless.

We were concerned that the case may have been dropped on the journey to the customer, as we had checked it before it left us, so we asked for it to be returned for a full refund or replacement. At no point did we suggest the customer damaged it. In fact we specifically told this customer any damage would have been caused whist it was with the courier.

Rather than return it for a full refund or replacement (at no cost to them), this customer asked to keep the watch case and to receive a partial refund. If it were poor quality we do not think they would have wanted to do this.

We have reviewed our correspondence with this customer. We answered all of their emails very quickly and, we think, courteously. None of our messages were more than three sentences long and all were sent with the express aim of being helpful; trying to organise its return for a refund or replacement.

We consider ourselves to be a leader in product quality at the budget, mid and the high end of our market niche. We stock a range of products at a range of prices. We do not only sell Chinese made products, we also have a growing range products from companies - including recognised brands - from the US and from Europe. Chinese made products are often cheaper and this is what the customer chose to buy, but other options were and are available. All are good quality and great value for money.
