Westside Music Studio Took My Payment and I Received no Product
This company is a scam. I purchased an electric guitar from them. They were very communicative on that day regarding payments and questions. I opted to use Zelle as my payment method because my credit card has a very high limit and while I didn't find anything negative about them online, I didn't want an unknown company having my credit card information. I received confirmation of my order and was informed a 3rd party courier would be handling my shipment.
Once I heard from the courier, I was informed that my shipment REQUIRED insurance that cost most than what I paid the seller for the item. Their records indicated that Zelle was my default payment method so they sent my their Zelle information for payment. I was told the I would received 90% of that insurance deposit back once the item was successfully delivered. Without payment, the shipment would be delayed and eventually discarded (after 2 weeks). I told them I was not comfortable with the unexpected payment so they could send the item back to the store.
I research out to the store to let them know beforehand a few times with no response. It's been a week with no communication so I contact the courier for an update. They let me know that the seller refuses to pay the return fee so they cannot process the return. I would be fine paying the return fee (or having it deducted from my return) if only I could get in contact with the seller to arrange this. I've called the business number a few times (and had friends do so as well) with no response. I don't think they have any intention of giving me my refund. My friend also found an unclaimed business under the same name on yelp and a review from someone as recent as January 2024 who also believe this company is a scam. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything on them before I sent them money but hopefully this deters other from falling into their trap.
