I spent £178.00 on fencing and timber from Wicks, Westhill, Aberdeenshire.
Got a message yesterday saying delivery would be between 7am and 11am this morning so arranged work, assistance and time around being here for delivery.
Waited patiently until after 11am before phoning the Westhill depot.
The girl who answered the phone was pleasant enough but proceeded to inform me the delivery driver didn’t turn up today!
So rather than phoning me or texting me first thing this morning, I had to wait until after the delivery time elapsed to then have to phone them to be told this.
So now, no idea when delivery will be, they have £178.00 of my money and not even the decency to contact me to find out when it will be convenient for me take delivery. As for an apology, I won’t hold my breath.
Is this what customer service is now? Absolutely disgusting and a horrible company to deal with.
Update… I got a call at 12:20 from an incompetent female telling me my delivery wasn’t coming, told me it wasn’t her fault and get it Thursday or get my money back. They really are the worst customer service people I have come across in a very long time. Absolutely terrible.
If senior staff can’t deal with angry customers they really shouldn’t be in the position where they are dealing with customer complaints. Knowing the difference between angry and shouting is not difficult and also not difficult to deal with by apologising and taking responsibility, not playing victim and lashing out at the customer.
Maybe I’m just old fashioned but I was always led to believe customer service is the face of any business.
If this was the face of Wicks it’s not a very nice face.
The atmosphere in this store created by certain members of their staff is awful and I certainly won’t be returning as it is not a good environment to shop in.

Bathroom fit was scheduled and went ahead on the 11th of August running to time
Work was not completed to satisfactory level 2 different colours of calk were used, sealant wasn’t completed, shower was leaking and were told shower tray was non slip which it wasn't
Customer service was awful throughout taking days if not weeks to respond, your departments communication between each other were just as poor taking again weeks at points to communicate with each other
I requested a subject access request which again showed another failure in your company as was not completed within appropriate legal timescale requiring a second request for the information.
We had 3 individuals come out to inspect/survey bathroom each agreed the level of work preformed was far below the standard we should expect.
I had to physically support my mother in and out of the shower several times because of the issues to ensure her safety, a situation neither of us were expecting to be put in, costing a woman her independence and dignity is the worst part of this! Wickes were aware of this and still worked no faster to resolve
Finally after months of disappointments a date of new installer was made June 1st and he has now completed his works and again more disappointment awaited. He informed my mother was to much work to change calk to just one colour, silicon unfinished. After another one of their contractors told us he recommended a whole refit was required.
We have decided not to pursue having any further contractors from wickes in as stress of organising this will be too much and I’ve lost countless nights of sleep over this already and will arrange for work to be completed ourselves.
The final communication I had was a compensation package which I feel is severely lacking
We agreed amount for delay is adequate
For deliveries really not as there were multiple additional deliveries and 3 visits from contractors that should not have been required. Each I had to attend making almost a 30 mile round journey each time.
The amount for the delay for the subject request, incomplete work and the massive delay in waste collection is ridiculous. £600 back on a small bathroom costing almost £10000 that isn't even finished!
Although we reluctantly accepted compensation package they have again failed as have never been sent links to receive this within timescale they laid out and again are unresponsive regarding this so despite experience starting summer last year it's still ongoing almost a year later

One thing she did was listen to us, not being a pushy sales person and designed our kitchen to exactly the was we wanted and she did a first class job.

I was in the store for the first time this morning to get paint for my bathroom. I had assistance from staff member Jillian (did not get her last name but wears glasses if this helps locate her ). She was so helpful and got me the paint that I was looking for even carried it back to the till for me. If this is how staff treat you I will definitely be back. Thank you Jillian if you ever see This

Sejal was very helpful. When I couldn’t find the specific colour of paint I needed she offered to go and get it from the warehouse for me. She also then helped carry it to my car. Very friendly service.

Can't fault Wickes Aberdeen for prompt delivery and help sourcing the materials I need for my current project. Thanks to Rachael for ensuring I got the correct materials ( as I never went in to the store ) and Steve for delivering it super fast and being extremely helpful at my end.

Excellent in-store kitchen design consulting. Our design consultant, Alison Farrell, was very accommodating making changes to the kitchen design. She took us around the shop floor explaining the units in the store which help in our decision. We were completely satisfied at the end of the meeting. Excellent customer service from Ally. Replacing a kitchen is a daunting experience but I would highly recommend Ally at the Aberdeen branch. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable about the kitchen products. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was extremely patient about any questions that I had.

Poor delivery service. I ordered several items for delivery, chose an available date and was initially quite pleased with the process. On the due day I received a call saying not all items were available. I said this was OK, just hold and deliver when all were available. Apparently, they can't do this and required me to cancel the missing items on the order, for refund, and re-order if still required. What utter nonsense. I did as they asked and the refund was processed promptly.
