Wickes - Epsom Avis 

Had a first consultation for a fitted kitchen. Nadir was very helpful with lots of great ideas and, most importantly, solutions for problems I had. His professional and sincere approach filled me with confidence. I’ll certainly consider using Wickes for the project.

We bought a bathroom from Wickes, a tiny project which ended up costing 30%+ more than originally quoted at design and over ran by months (a job that was supposed to take two weeks).

Please scrutinise the exact timelines and pricing quoted by Wickes before proceeding. Wickes recommended an installer, but the arrangement between the two were constantly used to delay and avoid responsibility.

Along the way we also received faulty products, deceitful customer service and a sub par bathroom with scratches, scuff marks and inadequate tiling/ painting throughout.

After months of back and forth Wickes did agree to give us a small amount of compensation, but not nearly enough to compensate for the stress, delays and poor product/ service.

Our advice to friends and family is to use anyone but Wickes.

Operations Manager Chris has been informative, efficient and friendly every time I have had to go to Wickes to discuss a possible community project. He has kept in touch well over a year while we were preparing our ongoing room. Today we ordered the supplies for the next step and it was great to have the same person throughout the process. I visited this hardware store Wickes last week to purchase some paint for the kitchen as we are changing the colour. It used to be cream and we have decided that blue would be a nice change. Anyway, I was looking at all the paints when I was approached by a member of staff; I think her name was Maya. I must have looked dazed and confused as she offered help with assisting me in choosing an appropriate paint. I was thrilled with her knowledge of the paint and the way in which she treated me. She then took me to the till and checked me out. Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable.

We had an absolutely first class experience. The thought of selecting our first ever kitchen was daunting but Nadir made it seamless, easy and most importantly FUN! He was exceptional, giving us advice and guidance but without any pressure or ‘pushey-ness’. He really is an asset to Wickes. If you visit Wickes Epsom for a kitchen, make sure you ask to speak to Nadir!

Designer was knowledgeable and had good idea of options available. Alternatives solutions were put forward and discussed, but not forced upon us.

Sophie was very helpful she helped me when I didn’t no where something was

Had a really stressful start to new year, with my kitchen celing falling after a leak in my bathroom but after my trip to wickes today am glad to say things are much brighter, I asked a young lady called sophie for some assistance as I am not really that clued up on DIY.
She was fantastic I have now got everything I need (hopefully) to fix it. Sophie was so helpful and even suggested things I didn't think of from where I was in a mess

Went in to see if I can get a color matched for a project I'm working on, Sophie was a great help

I often go to Wickes Epsom, as I'm a plasterer. All the staff are very friendly and always willing to help. A special mentionfor Trevor. He is there early in the morning normally. Always chatty and friendly. He is a real asset to Wickes.

I had a great experience today when going in the shop as the server named Amy was really helpful going out of her way to find solutions which she didn’t have to do

We were served by Trevor, so freshing to be served by such a friendly helpful chap, he was happy to lend me a tape measure, nothing was too much trouble, Trevor is a real credit to Wickes

Ordered a kitchen and appliances for a small kitchen in a rented flat. The first delivery date was too early so a later date was agreed. In the meanwhile the appliances just turned up whenever Wickes decided it was convenient for them, including a separate delivery for the filters for the cooker hood before the hood itself.
Then part of the kitchen was delivered, but NOT THE UNITS. In what world is a kitchen delivery without the units any good? Wickes then informed us the next delivery would be on a Saturday when no one would be available to receive it. This couldn’t be changed so we had to let the delivery fail in order to reschedule it. The new date was then another 10 days away. I have tried to get the salespeople in store ( Epsom) who sold the kitchen, and promised it would be one delivery, to help to no avail. They are saying they spent an hour trying customer services to get cut off and their only suggestion is that I spend the time trying to get through, I am now left with a furious builder, a delayed project and still no idea if the delivery will be completed on Tuesday. Appalling service, will never buy from them again

EDIT. Speedy response from Wickes below but they didn’t actually contact me direct so still don’t know if the remaining items are arriving Tuesday!
