Setting it up is just bad. It starts with the login, I had to retry by closing it and opening it just to enter username and password. The submit button was missing. The web page just doesn’t lead you to the page the manual says. It takes a lot of patience and trying it over and over again, before I could set it up.

I paid £70 for two of these and they are just cheap and nasty. They only transmit 10% of my wifi signal coming from the router. DO NOT BUY, ITS A SCAM

I bought the techfibrr wifi xtraboost whilst looking for and extender for an outside space where data is poor. I can barely receive 1 bar of wifi from the first floor, if im lucky. Every time a train goes by 4g (dont get 5g) freezes up what im watching. So I decided to buy this extender... I am not tech savvy
It arrived in 5 days. I found it quite tricky to connect and pair whilst watching the video as what should happen didnt. After 4 attempts and perseverence I finally got it to connect with my wifi.
Next I took it outside and for the purposes of testing I ran an extension lead from the only ouside socket I had and plugged the device in.
My router is on the first floor, so I made sure the device was in a line with the small window up there and in line where I needed the device to extend, like a triangle.
I turned on my iphone which showed 4g then within 2 seconds it connected to my wifi with 4 bars! I was amazed.
So many times have I read about extender and reviews stating they dont work. This works for me far better than my expectations. I am so pleased and the trains dont affect my reception any more nor am I using data.
Next job will be to install a plucg socket under my veranda where I sit to plug this device in permenantly during the summer months.
Based on my experience I would recommend getting one as they are inexpensve and not a lot to lose.

Wish i had read the rviews. I agree with everything said. A complete waste of £50. Does not work at all. Tried many many times, unable to return. Now in the bin.

Don’t believe what you read about this extender on supposedly reputable PC review sites. Absolutely rubbish!

Direct na het invoeren in de browser van het vermelde adres "myrepeater" kreeg ik 3 virussen - hoog risico - op m'n dak en werd ik overdonderd met McAfee meldingen.

Des jours à essayer de le mettre en route, à tenter de joindre un service après vente, a demander à le renvoyer et à être remboursée, et rien....

Købte 3 stk. Xstraboost. Ingen af dem virker. Wifi blinker ikke. Da jeg endelig lykkes med at opsætte den ene, gik der 2 sekunder, så virkede den ikke igen.

Har købt 4 xtraboost. Det er kun lykkedes mig at færdiggøre serup på en af dem og at få den til at virke. De øvrige 3 var ikke mulige at færdiggøre setup da de ikke kunne finde mit netværk..

Er wordt een substantiële verbetering van de rijkwijdte gesuggereerd. Apparaat kan enkel 2,4 frequenties aan en de gesuggereerde 300 mbs in de advertenties is een leugen.

Niet kopen dus. Wil je dit toch kan dit via een Chinese site voor een fractie van het bedrag voor exact hetzelfde apparaat.

I chose the extraboost as it was number one in a top ten survey online. I can only imagine how poor the others must have been .
In fairness i had no problem setting it up , press the wps button on the router and press the wps button on the extraboost, job done.
The problem is there is no boost it just extends whatever weak signal you have and reduces it by 30%.
Their own help desk confirmed this.
I was going to return it but the small print said it had to be faulty to get a refund.
It's now a 50 euro paper weight.

I can't comment on the company, I bought two .....one in the kitchen and one for my computer room/workshop/music studio in my foil lined cellar...biggish house. They are both still working great even after changing the router twice and going on to fibre. I must say they took a bit of installing even though I work in IT. I installed a WAP in my wife's studio (caravan in the yard) and that just plugged in and password entered. Of course, I ran cat cable from router, which some people may find as arduous as setting up these boosters. Sorry for those who had trouble.

I have tried a number of times to get it to work,including once with an IT professional but it has never worked. In my view it is a complete waste of money.

I bought three to put around the house. Useless cannot get any of them to load.

I bought this summer last year, and gave up trying to get it to connect.
Clearing out my dest today and found it and thought I would give it another go, impossible to connect after trying for 2 hours.
I am reasonably at setting this type of think up usually, but this has me totally beaten.
Don’t buy absolutely useless.
