My much loved senior black labrador
The vet I saw was so patient and kind, and treated my very stressed dog with utmost. care. He gave me so much of his time and knowledge, and I came away confident that my dog would be cared for to the highest professional standards.
Referral
My frenchie Angel spent 24 hours at willows after spending a week in pain and our own vet being unable to find out where the pain was coming from. After a consultation with Lluis he was able to tell us that Angel had slipped a disc in her neck He gave us different treatment options and so far the medication route is working. I can't thank the willows enough for all their help and would recommend in the future
Super experience
Super experience . It’s a busy week lace but goodness me do they know their stuff ! My prized pooch was treated so well and the consultant spoke to me on a language I understood !
Clover is an 11 mths old collie cross…
Clover is an 11 mths old collie cross who was taken seriously ill last week. She was seen by her local vets at Teme vets Tenbury Wells and their larger practice at Ludlow. She was immediately referred to Willows Solihull and we drove her there for further tests 10am Sunday (spinal taps Mri CT and joint and bloods etc). Clover was settled in and we had a long and very very detailed discussion with a neurologist (2 in total spoken with plus other specialists we have yet to meet (tests are ongoing 🤞 🤞 🤞). Clover is home now having been investigated and stabilised with appropriate medication and a care plan until the full results are collated and her treatment can be targeted towards the best outcome for her (meningitis and poly arthritis allied to either an auto immune response or possible other cause are where we are as l post this). She is much improved and elated to be home and busting to get back to her previous supercharged puppy self! Time and treatment will - please God - allow her to do that🤞 🙏 🤞 🙏 Everyone at Willows (& my local vets Teme) have been awesome in caring for and investigating her. Nothing has been too much trouble and everyone we've met has given 100% plus. So a huge thank you!!! to all of you from me and Clover's family and friends. We know this will cost more than my PetPlan insurance covers but considering all of the high end specialist work she has had we as her family believe our contribution is money spent wisely and hopefully - so anyone reading this please 🤞 🙏 🤞 🙏 for our beautiful pup. Thank you.
Amazing care!
Our 5 year old dog was referred to the Willows with a ruptured disc on New Year’s Eve. He was unable to use his back legs and was in a lot of pain. From the moment he was seen by Michelle, we couldn’t have wished for better care for him. They operated on him and gave him the best care as well as giving us regular updates while he was recovering. 6 weeks later, he has regained his mobility and is back to being the happy dog that we know and love. We can’t thank them enough for everything Michelle and the team have done for Freddie. They are miracle workers! Thank you!
My dog Amber has been really looked…
My dog Amber has been really looked after well again today for her operation.
She was somewhat unsettled on the way home and when we got home, but the lovely professional vet, didn't have to, but rang me twice in 4 hours checking she was OK, which was lovely. Thank you.
Day patient
My dog was in for a heart ultrasound. Drop off was ok, although it would have been better for her to have been taken to a different room by the nurse rather than me leave the room without her, as she didn’t like me leaving. From then on communication became a bit non existent. I’ve no idea what time the procedure was done, but I was told to call at around 2pm if I hadn’t heard anything, which I did. The vet was busy - fine - and I was promised a call back. An hour and a half later I called again - the vet was busy, we’ll call back, which they did this time - but maybe only because I stated I’d already been told that before! I was then told to collect her at 3pm. I arrived just before 3, then waited almost an hour before we were called through. This should have been an easy discharge - there was no sedation needed, I’d already spoken with the vet and there was no follow up medication. As a vets, Willows are brilliant - I am lucky to have them as our local vet. But this whole dropping off / discharging could be a lot smoother. I took time out from work to collect the dog, and had to make that time back up - I didn’t expect to be kept waiting so long!
The Williows expertise
The Williows expertise, and exceptional knowledge shone through. After been transferred from our usual vets for specialist input we were prepared for the worst by our usual vets. But from the moment we arrived at the Willows, their communication, kindness and compassion were second to none!!!! Laora, the soft tissue specialist was fantastic, we felt confident instantly that our baby was in the best possible hands, and felt and instant connection of trust! We can’t thank the team enough.
Thank you
Very grateful the Willow Veterinary centre so us as quickly as they did. The staff, including reception, admin, vet and veterinary nurse were all polite, kind and took their time when explains the procedures, results and plans.
We’ve been to Willows a dozen times…
We’ve been to Willows a dozen times over the last 4 months for various treatments, some routine and some more urgent for our two large dogs. I couldn’t ask for anymore from Willows. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. They keep us up to date with progress when our dogs have had to stay in for procedures and always check in with us afterwards to make sure the dogs are recovering well.
Vets are expensive but compared to our usual “high street” vet chain I feel that Willows has always done what it can to help with the costs of check ups and procedures, even smaller things like clipping nails whilst under G.A.
The reception team are fantastic and handle the stress and emotions of everyone that comes through brilliantly, working in the service industry myself I can’t praise them enough for how calm and collected they remain throughout.
Thank you to everyone at Willows.
Excellent
Excellent. Staff are kind and caring. Vet was very informative and went through whole procedure clearly. She wouldn't have made it if it weren't for them.
Our French bulldog IVDD
Our French bulldog was diagnosed with Stage 1 IVDD within an hour of attending after a previous vet couldn’t give a clear diagnosis.
Unfortunately this progressed rapidly to stage 5 IVDD overnight. Our Bella had an emergency spinal operation and now home recovering. We can’t be thankful enough for the amazing care our Bella received at Willows
Always good to have access to after hours care at your own vet
Our cat has been back and forth needing emergency care for cystitis. The After Hours team were wonderful, and Sam has been extremely thorough in caring for him.
