Wonderland Models Avis 

I ordered some trees but the ones delivered were mostly the wrong colour .I was told that it said colours may vary, but this detail can only be seen if you click onto another page marked description, but why would you do that when a description has already been provided? I was offered a swap if I paid the postage as I had miss-ordered. How annoying is that? As I understand it, this contravenes the Trade descriptions act as the 'colours may vary' was not obvious and any serious modeller would not be happy with just any colour

So far all of my experiences with the orders i have made have been great service with a few errors on my end since i have to put card details in all the time due to no paypal option.

1st Order:

I ordered loads of paints and a few was not in stock and i was sure i would have the delivery in two seperate packages but all the items where there.

2nd Order:

No problems with just ordering paints

3rd Order:

More Paints, no problems

4th Order:

was a kit that was 50% off and that arrived 2 days later which is fast considering i am in England,

London is only 4miles further (225miles) compared to the 221 miles that Edinburgh is from me and i have paid more on shipping and it took items 5 days from down south to get to me.

Also for communications, i have emailed them about a kit that i ordered from elsewhere, (2 of the same kit but the version i did not order has different markings/decals) i did not get the answer i was hoping to get but i got pointed elsewhere aafter a member of staff checked for me.

They did not have to help me with it but they did and i know companies who take the funnies when you have ordered from elsewhere and equire with there company about something.

SIDE NOTE: with the delivery prices, to make it worth while i tend to order loads of items except with the 4th order as the kit with postage was £28 which normal RRP for the kit alone is normally £50.

I will be back to order more items and if anything goes wrong i will update the review.

Website doesn't show if an item is not in stock. I didn't get a response by email to change the order so I called and wasn't told at that point that my order wouldn't be despatched until all items were in stock. I found this out several days later when I called for an update. I cancelled the order and got all the items at a better price promptly from eBay. A good selection at good prices let down by lack of communication.

I originally ordered item from another company and was badly let down.Found sane item on Wonderland website, called to confirm stock placed order and received item 2 days later, brilliant service.

Huge stock with all you need always available. The prices are also very competitive (better than Amazon in most of the cases) and the delivery (in Britain) is very fast, although it takes for them a couple of days to process the order. I really recommend this shop to everyone.

Highly Recommend Wonderland Models

After searching through the internet for a specific radio control car for my son I can across Wonderland Models in a google search. I required some advice before I made my purchase so I called them and spoke to a very helpful chap called Steve who answered all my questions and put my mind to rest.

I then went on to their website and ordered the Tamiya rc model that afternoon. The following morning at 10am my parcel arrived. Fantastic advice and great prompt service is what sets this shop apart from the rest. Highly recommend. Will definitely use again.

Popped into the store on lothian road in Edinburgh this morning to purchase an air pistol. When i asked about this item was told that only the items on display were available. I was interested in purchasing this item but was told i needed a reference number for the item and id need to pay up front which was fine. The sales rep didn’t seem to be interested so i said id look elsewhere. Not a great service at all. I’ll travel to other shops now.

I have attempted to use this company on two occasions now, and have been highly disappointed on both attempts. When you order a product it gives you an estimated shipping cost. But you then receive and email a day or so later explaining that they need to charge you more due to the cost of international shipping. So when you reluctantly give them the approval to charge you for the extra shipping, the bank will in most cases decline the charge to protect you from fraudulent activity. Well instead of contacting me by phone to resubmit the order I get an email telling me that the order was canceled and I need to reorder it online. HELLO it is your incompetent shipping calculator or lack thereof that is the problem. If you reorder, the same thing happens again you get the same shipping cost because of their inadequate website. I dont need your excuses I need results. I dont want to see your multiple paragraphs of inadequate shipping policies. Like I advised before, you need to hire a company who can create a program that will calculate shipping for online orders at the point of sale. Save yourself the headache order elsewhere. I will never use this incompetent company with poor customer service again.

Used these guys for paints and few other bits, rapid dispatch via DPD, arrived well packaged and in only 3 days. Very happy experience shopping with no issues. Will use them again no hesitation

I have purchased quite a few products from this company and I have found customer service to be brilliant. When ordering two different scales of Britain’s models at Christmas, they emailed to check that I had intended to do this before shipping. A faulty item was quickly and apologetically replaced. Delivery is quick. Great company, refreshing to have a friendly customer service team.

I often buy spray paints from Wonderland models. They have always had the stock in as stated on the website and send the items out promptly by courier. They package them very well as well.

I personally have never had an issue with them and have ordered from them a few times now, however i have only ever ordered paints and sprays, so it may be that the stock issues tend to be with other products.

I've had a couple of times when I've ordered items that are showing in stock on their website only to find that the order arrives incomplete as they were actually out of stock. In the past this has not been too bad as they have sent the balance of the order out when it was available.
This time though an order I placed mid September, despite emailing them and their assurance that the rest of the order would be sent out with free delivery, I received an email today to say that they cancelled my order as the card I used to pay was declined (this was because I have been given a new bank card as mine expired at the end of September).
I telephoned them to give them my new card details and was given short shrift on the phone by a man telling me that I had to re-order through the website and pay a second delivery charge, they couldn't waive the delivery charge as it was my fault the payment didn't go through!
I think you'll find it was their fault that because they took so long to send out my order my card details had expired meantime!
I would definitely think twice about using this company in future especially as my daughter has now been waiting 8 weeks for the rest of her birthday present, and the only reason I didn't order the items from another company is that I didn't want to have to pay out another delivery charge!
I've now paid this company £11 in delivery charges!

Ordered from these guys of Friday on a 2-5 day delivery. Called today to be told had no stock. Was not stated out of stock on there site and took me to call them to find there was a problem. Very poor customer service.

I have now had the same experience on more than one occasion with this company. Items are shown as in stock on the website, I buy and pay for the item and receive a confirmation. I later receive an email advising that the item is not available!
This is really frustrating and just shows how poor their service and particularly inventory control really are. i suggest buying elsewhere , this is what I will be doing from now on.

All the complaints are pretty much the same issue, although they reply promptly and politely it would be better if they acted on the clear faults they have.
Unless they like losing money from cancelled orders that is.....
