Woodpecker Joinery Avis 

BUYERS BE AWARE. Woodpecker joinery claim to have a 10 year structural guarantee but will do everything to ignore this. I purchased the Stramshall greenhouse 7-8 years ago and have had much pleasure of using it during this time. This summer however one glass pane on the roof came loose and fell on the floor. Luckily the pane bounced on a box ball underneath and is intact. This is however both dangerous to have potential glass falling off the roof and a complete failing in the structure of the green house, not something related to wear and tear. I now have a gaping hole in the roof, temporarily covered in plastic, with winter looming.
During the last two months I have contacted the company 4 times to get this resolved but my emails and calls were initially completely ignored and during the last call I was told my problem with a missing pane in the roof is not covered in the guarantee - 'if there was a manufacturing issue, it would have shown earlier'. This is incredibly disappointing and appauling customer service. They provide a good product but wash their hands if anything goes wrong a few years down the line. This is not what you expect from a company of this size.
In the last call, still offering no apology to me as a customer, the customer service representative offered a visit to sort this out but with a charge of £50. This is just not good enough!

Our bespoke 30ft x12ft greenhouse has ben installed over the last two days.
We have been happy with the company from start to finish with good communication. There was a long delay between ordering and delivery but we knew this from the outset and were kept informed. The finished product is well worth the wait. It is beautiful. The installers were polite, friendly and hardworking and left everything tidy.

I ordered April 2021 but my order never arrived. Tried to get my money back, but they stopped answering me.

Woodpecker Joinery produce a great product that in my experience is let down by poor and rushed installation. Today i made my forth request in five months to have a door rehung thats getting virtually impossible to open and close. Whilst accepting that wooden greenhouses do settle after a time my joiner tells me it was never mounted correctly in the first place.

My 6x6x2 Woodpecker Greenhiuse has had a massive impact on the quality of my life . .it was installed beautifully well by two very polite gentlemen, it is beautifully constructed and smells delicious (Cedar is)
It is SE facing and all my seedlings are successful . . . So delighted have I been … I have a small garden but this little beauty together with lots of containers and hanging baskets mean we can grow lots of veg . . Perfect timing with where we are in the world ?!

Fantastic service from start to finish. I had our new Woodpecker greenhouse installed today by 2x excellent installers. This completed the purchase of our bespoke greenhouse which started with first class service and communication from start to finish.
All the Woodpecker team well done, your a credit to this company, it’s the second woodpecker greenhouse we have bought and can’t say enough good things about the quality of the product and the staff.

Just had a garden summerhouse/home office installed by Woodpecker. I had adapted one of their models to suit my own needs. Great help from the team in putting my own design in place. Very impressed by the quality of the product - surpassed my expectations! The two chaps who came to build it couldn't have been more helpful. They did a marvellous job.

Gerry Leek: Great service, great team, nothing was too difficult from the sales force, the servicing team (Heather); and the guys doing the fitting itself. The speed and quality of the installation was amazing. A main piece of glass didn’t get fitted, no problem - they delivered and fitted it the following morning.

Excellent service and installation. Very impressed with the cold frame would highly recommend to anyone else in the market for one. Good communication throughout and all delivered within the agreed time frames. Helpful advice on maintenance. Looking forward to putting it to good use.

When I read reviews for lots of companies they are often negative about something and don’t always really represent the company, so when I ordered my greenhouse over 12 months ago I wasn’t able to view the products because of covid etc, So I did as much research as possible and also read reviews and noticed a few negative comments but after speaking to the woodpecker I was reassured that any company that sell and installs over 1000 products throughout the world there are always going to get one or two problems but they are always sorted out, so from that phone call I ordered my beautiful greenhouse which arrived a few weeks ago and let me say that the building is perfect in every way possible!
So forget the “Royal warrant” you have a massive seal of approval from a long distance customer

Had a Kingsbury greenhouse installed November 2020 very pleased with it and it looks lovely and everything has performed really well over the last year. Really nicely made greenhouse worth the extra cost. Did have a slight problem with the door but you pop out and sorted the problem for me.
Have owned various greenhouses in various properties this is definitely “ the Best one”

Don't believe the hype.

We ordered the combo shed /green house for around 7k

On the initial installation the guttering fell away from the outlet. First sign of rain and the roof leaked.

Woodpecker have been back 3 times to sort issues mainly leaks! these have left marks down the doors on internal windows. Rather than try and fix the leaks silicone is the weapon of choice and what a mess, they got it on the sand stone slab the roof shingles and guttering.

Each time they turned up it was as case of get it get out. the final time they managed to sort the issues but have stained the hand cut sand stone slab at the front( they tried to sort but were unable ) After 3 weeks of emails and phone calls trying to speak to someone about the issue I was told £100 was the offer or I could source another slab and they would pay for it! not install it or sort the drip marks they would just pay for the slab.

You can keep the money the hassle and constant back and forth is just not worth it.

They seem to trade off the royal seal of approval but like a lot of companies who start out with the best intentions over time less care is taken and more focus on the bottom line.

So much more out there for the money we spent. Just wish I could add the photos!

Just received our cedar greenhouse form you, great product, very polite fitters and great service from you when we live over 250 miles away from your headquarters, you sorted the little problem out with in a couple of days of the installation that was a amazing effort from everyone at woodpecker

We received an email the day before installation. Pay up or we won’t hand over the keys to your greenhouse on installation day!
Well that should have given us a clue to the company’s ethos. Unfortunately we did pay the full amount less deposit for our top of the range £10,000 Heritage greenhouse, which is beautiful and well made.
However the installation team ran out of sealant for the low wall joint and fail to inform us. Did the front but left the rest. Trying to get them to come back to complete the job has not gone well.
Ordered Oct 2020 installed June 2021. October 2021, still waiting.
At least I’ve learnt to be patient. LOL

9 month wait but communication with the office was appalling. I couldn’t get a date for installation and had to keep phoning. It felt as though the additional delays were my fault not theirs. Quite a menacing email arrived a couple of days before installation threatening that if payment wasn’t made before the fitters left and they had proof of payment then the greenhouse would be locked and remain in Woodpecker’s ownership. Not what we are used to and I’m sure no such email went to Highgrove!
If this company is quality it needs to address these issues. The greenhouse looks good and I just hope there aren’t any issues with it.
