I would like to acknowledge the professionalism and sensitivity of the valuer , Ellie.
Recently lost both parents in the last couple of years , and an aunt two days ago .
I’ve had to go through the chore of their belongings etc . So I made a journey to Wotton auction rooms , Ellie was lovely and also honest in her valuation.
Would highly recommend Wotton Auction Rooms , its reputation is good and that is why I went there .
Nice friendly, professional staff .

Tied bid and one winner ‘selected’?!

How is this possible?

I auto bid £60 in advance for a lot offered by this auction room via saleroom.com
The lot was closed at £60, but appeared in my ‘lost’ list in saleroom.com
I queried this with the saleroom.com for this auction, and the response was:
‘Thank you for confirming your account details.

Our records for Wotton Auction Rooms 17 Apr 2023 Live Auction, show that lot 1597 sold to the room for 60.00 GBP

According to our records, there was a tied bid of 60.00 GBP between you and a room. In the event of a tied bid, one of the tied bids will be selected.’

There are two problems here, firstly, the advance/ first bid of £60 is bypassed; secondly a winner is ‘selected’?!

Completely nonsensical, from Wotton Auction Rooms and also from saleroom.com

They accuse a dear disabled lady of 83 years old of not paying for a non existent item when paid immediately for the item the lady bought, which was a doll. Wotton then they accuse the dear lady of buying a vintage teddy bear that did not ever exist. The delivery they recomend, Darius Bar Berry, he charge £48 for packing and delivering a small parcel of a small doll, this is so expensive, terrible high cost for delivery! I believe this Darius then accused the old lady of stealing the vintage teddy bear when he did not deliver it himself and try to charge for it and claim insurance. I think he lost it and try to blame the old lady for this. So a Horrible experience of wotton and their delivery service is expensive and untrusted. Wotton Auction DO NOT care for customers who pay immedtly and then recommend a horrible expensive delivery driver, Darius Bar Berry who I accuse of telling lies that the old lady owes money for parcel of a teddy bear that does not esxist. HORRIBLE and I do not trust.
