Staff training and CPD are prioritised, which equipped staff in handling complex situations. There’s a strong emphasis on safeguarding, emotional intelligence and resilience, and therapeutic approaches, all of which are vital in this role.

Despite the challenges that naturally come with this kind of work, the positive culture, clear communication, and shared values make it a truly fulfilling environment to be. The children are at the heart of everything we do, and seeing their growth even in small steps is incredibly motivating.

I’ve recently started working at Yaffle Care as a Therapeutic Support Worker, and even in my first week, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The adults I work with are fantastic, and the level of support from the team is incredible — it’s clear they genuinely care about both staff and the people we support.
