Customer service with a real person !!
I actually spoke to a human being. How lovely it was. She was very polite and patient and explained everything thoroughly. Well done Yorkshire Water.
Rapid rise in bill
I called as my quarterly bill seemed to have doubled. They pin pointed when an increase in usage had happened which tied in with a recent toilet leak I had had (along with indicating the leak had been going on for weeks not days). The team adjusted my bill for me, were courteous and polite and provided a great level of customer service

Yorkshire Water is a very good system that provides clean water to people and never causes any problems.
Excellent and considerate towards their customers
I am 80 years old and needed to phone Yorkshire water with a few questions. I was only waiting a few minutes before being connected to a young man who was very polite and extremely helpful. He answered all my questions and was a joy to speak with. Excellent service, thank you very much.
No star rating low enough
No star rating low enough. Their tactics are to put you on hold for almost 2 hours, talk over you, not interested. Don't adhere to their OWN complaints procedure. Ignore you in emails. I shall be pursuing through CCW - not that they are "all that" but this lot need exposing for their absolute lack of care to customers. Absolute disgrace.

Customer service is very poor and nobody answering calls. Bills rising rapidly but money definitely not being spent on customer service.
Informed me of a 3 minute wait but 19 minutes late still no pick up from YW.

Water Bill
When I spoke to yorkshire water today I was put through to a lovely lady who was very pleasant to speak to.
I explained my problem and this was sorted out without any issues.
It was nice to speak to a real person with a great personality.
In 1 year bill up by more than 70%...
In 1 year, despite our being VERY careful about our water usage, our bill has increased by 70.4%..how this can possibly be justified is beyond us; meanwhile the people at the top are taking home even more ridiculous salaries..

Answered the call I made quickly, and the call handler was very polite, professional and friendly. She resolved my query promptly , I felt in experienced hands and that I could trust the her to sort out my query.

I requested a call back for a number of concerns. I was contacted on time and the agent was both polite and knowledgeable .
I felt my issues and concerns were dealt with in a professional manner.
This was not a complaint but a query regarding my payment plan.

Unfair prices. Rude staff
Rude staff on phone. Rude staff by letter. I am not sure how a one adult one child household uses £58 of water a month on the fixed price as I cannot have a meter. They accused me of lying when I said that family members of 2 adults 1 child use around £40 metered yet I have their bill to show. Just a quick Google search of forum show that metered households like mine use £35-40 of water a month at the most.
Most upsetting is they way staff speak to you on the phone and the letters they send.
Unfair that we are forced into using them because I imagine if people had a choice to change provider thry would.

The questions I asked, they were clear understanding, and I'm not a racist by any means whatsoever, but it's nice to get a clear answers without asking for an english speaking person. She was courteous and very understanding.
