I tried sourdough during the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic but gave up because I had nothing after 2 weeks. Thankfully a friend recommended I try Yeast Coast Sourdough’s starter kit and I’m SO GLAD I gave it another try with a better starter. Three days later, I had an active sourdough starter AND baked a loaf of bread! Not too shabby for a true beginner. I especially loved the inclusion of the recipe cards and I cannot wait to make waffles! I thought maybe I missed the boat on my sourdough era, turns out I’m just a late adopter. I feel confident in my bread making and can’t wait to see what else I can do.

Also the bread was SO good, my MIL begged me for the recipe, and my husband asked me when I “snuck away to get another loaf from the bread people” at the farmers market.

Super beginner friendly kit that allows anyone to make their own sourdough with ease. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had been wanting to get into starting making sourdough and always felt overwhelmed and this kit made it so seamless and easy to manage!

I had never baked sourdough (or bread at all, for that matter) before purchasing this kit. It took just a few days for the dehydrated starter to get bubbly, and it was perfect for my first sourdough loaf. Now I am baking beautiful-looking loaves every week, and my confidence in the kitchen is growing. There is a learning curve, but Yeast Coast is super active on social media and has a lot of videos to answer any questions you might have. This is a great product that is really an investment, considering the unlimited amount of bread you can make with just the starter kit. I highly recommend it!

I never baked bread before but wanted to try making sourdough bread after my aunt got into it. I got a different it from Amazon and never got it to rise.
