Absolutely dreadful software and even worse customer service
We recently came across a Yurt Rock advertisement on social media promoting three products: Pickpocket, Decade and Dr Fill. Unfortunately, purchasing them turned out to be a complete waste of time and money.
I won't go into what each product is supposed to do, because frankly, not one of them worked satisfactorily. Without question, some of the worst audio software we have ever had the misfortune of using. The quality was absolutely appalling.
Naturally, we contacted Yurt Rock to request a refund, only to be told that refunds were not available once the software had been downloaded. We explained to their representative, Zane, that if the matter could not be resolved appropriately, we would pursue it through PayPal instead.
His response? "Sounds good."
An astonishingly dismissive and unprofessional response to a legitimate customer complaint. No attempt to resolve the issue, no meaningful assistance and seemingly no interest whatsoever in customer satisfaction.
Thankfully, PayPal eventually ruled in our favour and issued a full refund.
We are a professional music production company and have established excellent working relationships with numerous respected pro audio manufacturers and software developers. We regularly purchase, evaluate and use professional audio software, so we have plenty of experience on which to base our opinions.
In all our years working in this industry, I genuinely cannot recall being treated so poorly by a company.
Poor software is disappointing enough, but combining it with such an appalling attitude towards customers makes the whole experience considerably worse.
An absolutely dreadful experience from beginning to end. We certainly won't be purchasing from Yurt Rock again.
Honestly, 1 star is too generous!
