Disgusting prices. Clearly abuses her faithful followers' trust by charging them extortionate prices, which doesn't in lude her made up shipping prices.
Asking £240 for a prize figure when it's retail value is £130.... And with postage from Japan, £150.
With her made up shipping, it'll be £260-£300.
Also charging £70/£80 for Nendoroids, which again, don't retail for much. Usually £45 straight from Japan.
Stop blindly giving her your money. Vote with your wallet and spend elsewhere.
On top of extortionate prices, she is rude, doesn't hesitate to block PAYING customers for asking questions, then not fullfiling the order or refunding them, and on top of that, multiple times left people short because she never sent them an order or an invoice for items already half prepaid. (and this was BEFORE she made her customers do it themselves.)
She says tax and customs are the reason her prices are so high, but it's not. It's sheer greed.
She asks people to leave good reviews for her, which I'm pretty sure isn't allowed? Lol.
She also splits Kuji prizes before even doing the lottery pulls. Let's her best customers have first dibs on the best prizes. Scummy. And also, she overcharges on Kuji.

I’ve bought from her for a few years now. Her prices are a little high, but she is happy to help you source hard to find items and of course is a small business. She is very patient when you are paying invoices, you just have to let her know. Never had a single issue with her and has been nothing but lovely.
She sells both hard to get items and things from her person collection. I’ve managed to get some really cool things over the years now!

A great UK based seller
Have bought merchandise from her for some time now, myself also being based in the UK I find her prices very fair compared to other places that may stock similar goods (and is often on par or cheaper, with the advantage of things being shipped and available sooner, as well as being able to choose specific characters for blind boxes!). Products always arrive in good time (I find the information is always on the post you express interest on) and are well packaged and have never been damaged. It's great to be able to support a family business, and is always helpful if you want to make a special request.
Used to be a long time supporter…but…
As a young and back then rather inexperienced collector, I used to primarily buy from YYKawaii as I lived the concept of supporting small businesses. I can safely say I will never do so again. Her prices are insane, popular characters are taxed, and while I don’t mind paying more to support a small business, I simply cannot justify the insane amount she sells items for- other independent sellers are cheaper to buy from and it is even cheaper to buy products from Japan yourself from retailers such as AMIAMI when building monthly boxes. I know she buys her stock from here, as I have recovered a scale figure in an AMIAMI box! Another issue I and others have had is her rude attitude. Replies to DMs are more often than not blunt, and very unprofessional. Merch is handled by her two very young children, which means customers have had their items damaged on arrival. There was no communication of when products were shipped, meaning you were playing a waiting game. Both me and a friend once had a parcel never show up, despite paying our invoices. When we messaged her, we were blamed, and that in my instance, ‘I already shipped it out’. I received no evidence of this. My parcel turned up 3 days later, with the date of shipping being the day after I enquired about the missing parcel- as it was printed out on my shipping slip.
I have put off uploading this review for a long time, for fear of being blasted on her social medias, but enough is enough.
Collectors; do yourself a favour and research around. The collector community are here to help you and will point you in the right direction. Unfortunately this seller is not it anymore. Four years ago I sang praises, but I can no longer support this seller. I have not bought from her for years, but as things have not improved, which is evident from other reviews my point still stands valid.

One of my favourite places to get anime and cute merch especially items I struggle to find anywhere else. The owner is always quick to respond and is always very helpful. My collection has definitely grown thanks to yykawaii 💗 I’ll be shopping for the foreseeable future

I have been ordering from yykawaii for a while and havent had many problems with the products themselves, except damage to one box but she definitely charges more than other uk anime stores and shipping isnt stated until you've already recieved an invoice. Invoices are sent out fairly quickly but it can sometimes take a while for her to acknowledge your comment and overall seems very disorganised. My biggest issue is with how rude she can be if you're unable to pay for any reason, theres no regard for customers and she puts people down/publicly shames people unable to pay. I recently had to cancel an order after invoice was already sent due to issues with paypal and could not pay as she does not accept payments any other way and when i told her this she was very blunt about how I had wasted her time as she already sent the invoice, and she has been rude to others I know as well. I understand it's frustrating however this is what happens when you run a business and it seems very unprofessional to me.

Ive been ordering from this website for a few years now, mainly Hatsune Miku figurines. I have never had a single bad experience, even when ive placed orders through instagram. I can almost guarantee that the invoice is on time and that the figure will come a couple of weeks after. The prices are the same as other vendors, aside from you pay half up front instead of 10% like from others which i dont really think makes much of a difference. Love this website, thank you!
Worst Anime Merch Seller.
I've been a customer of yy kawaii for a very long time but i stopped buying back in 2021 as her customer service is honestly terrible.
Her pricing is marked up almost double the actual cost most of the time and she would even charge more for more popular characters' merch. As a new figure/ anime merch collector i didn't know any better and let myself get dragged into buying merch from her that was extremely overpriced and often not in the best condition despite being described as new.
I've received damage packaging multiple times and never complained. I've always communicated and even when I never received items she just brushed it off as "you should've contacted me sooner" and i let it go.
I didn't write this review for a long time because i still had preorders with her and i was scared she would cancel on me. I was on my last preorder, last payment and i didn't pay the invoice for 4 weeks. This was the one time i didn't message as life has been quite hectic and it was the holiday season. She cancelled my invoice without any warning beforehand and resold the figure same day. I've lost £150 of deposit i've paid for a figure that only really costs £150 online anyway. Most business would email/contact you that you have x amount of time to pay or your order will be cancelled, i received no such communication.
Not to mention she often blasts her customers on her instagram story for being difficult and terrible customers. Honestly, just plain unprofessional. I've seen her toss around product when she's angry on her stories.
Her shipping price is always inflated and if you check the price she paid on your parcel written on it, it's always less than what she required you to pay. Her packaging is clearly awful, most items arrive damaged. For many collectors this is a massive inconvenience because we like to keep our boxes.
I wouldn't recommend anyone buy from her and instead use other UK anime sites with much better customer service and well-packaged items. I really recommend Dekai Anime. Or if you don't mind ordering from Japan, I'd recommend Solaris Japan, or just buy the item direct from its original website using a shipping agent such as Zen Market.
And as I was writing my review she blocked me. I've spent actual thousands on her store. Great customer service. -_-
Absolutely Terrible Customer Service
Absolutely terrible! I've bought alot of items from her and she is still rude!
Messaged on several items and waited for the invoice to come through. Waited a week and Messaged her and she said what do you want, screenshot the items! I was like what is the point of commenting if you don't get back to people! So I sent her screenshot and said can you send me a invoice now and she got rude to me! She has now blocked me! What a joke! She owns a business and she can't even deals with customer queries or invoices! Please avoid! She doesn't deserve anyone's hard earned money!!!
Drives away all her customers with high prices and bad customer service.
She’s nice when you don’t have issues, but when you do have issues she’ll put you on blast to all her followers for pity points and thinks that everyone will side with her. Her customer service skills are the lowest of the low and as someone who works in customer service, it’s just not needed. Her messages are blunt and get even worse when you have an issue with an order.
She’s not the most ideal for collectors as I’ve received orders with broken boxes because she recycles packaging and smushes your figure into it.
I’ve gotten better deals, customer service and packaging off Depop or AliExpress. Not to mention how expensive her shipping is.
I get that she wants to make profit but when she’s pricing up everything AND overcharging for shipping, it’s just scummy.
I no longer buy from her, but I follow her still to see all the drama that she gets herself into by either asking for good reviews or putting customers on blast for being a “time waster” when they are not.
She’s also beefing with AliExpress because she assumes people compare them both for pricing of fakes, but AliExpress has been far more reliable (and cheaper) for figures if you know what you’re looking for, not to mention you don’t have to scrap in the comments for an item for a CHANCE to get messages to buy it.
All in all, other services are far better and YY needs to work on her customer service because it’s just driving people away. For a “professional” business, there’s a whole lot of drama and child posting on her account.
Bad attitude
I have been a customer for yykawaii for the past 3 years. I was an avid supporter for her and her buisness, always paid on time and ordered hundreds of pounds of her merch.
When you don't have any issues with her, no packages lost or want to cancel your pre orders or orders with her shes as nice as can be.
I had to cancel one of my orders because it was a pre-order and I couldn't afford it due to a hike in bills that is out of my control (if youre in the UK you'll know about this). I explained I couldn't afford it and was met with hostility and got called a time waster and that I shouldn't preorder if I wasnt serious.
I have attempted to prerder again, about an item I really wanted. But, I was very hesitant that if I can afford it again that I will likely get blocked or be called horrible things again. I shouldn't feel like that about buying something off someone, yykawaii is rude and anyone who calls her out she calls them sensitive and used to slam them on social media. All her good reviews on here are of her telling people to go write one, I dont ever usually write bad reviews. But people please be careful.
Some of her pre orders are very expensive and if they get lost SHE WILL NOT REFUND YOU. She will blame someone else and you WONT get your money back.
There are also cheaper places to get anime figures which allow cancellations without any horrid behaviour and with a full refund if the item gets lost or stolen.
Completely Avoid, Go Elsewhere
I was once an avid customer and supporter of YYKawaii, having purchased from her for several years and even winning a competition once that was in collaboration with another person I followed on Instagram! However I cannot in good faith recommend anyone purchase from her anymore and no longer support her myself. There are several issues that myself and my friends have encountered that has left us all feeling this way and it is honestly a shame. I know many of my points are going to be ones others have said, but I feel it is important to go through each thing properly still.
Number 1: Claiming items and trying to order is extremely unreliable.
For those who are not aware, YYKawaii doesn't really have an actual storefront like other businesses. She does have a website that you can order a very small collection of items from, but 99% of her items are sold via Instagram. If you wish to place an order, you have to find her Instagram post about the item and leave a comment or send a direct message to 'claim' the item. She posts multiple items a day to thousands of followers, so it isn't hard to imagine how unreliable this method is. She cannot seem to keep on top of all of the comments or messages that she gets, so it is very likely that you will not be able to make an order even if you want to. On top of this, people sending messages removes any kind of 'first come, first serve' basis for items with a limited stock. All it takes is for someone to send multiple messages to bump their way up the list! In the last year, I have tried to order at least 20 items from her and have heard back about 2 or 3 times max.
Number 2: Overcharging Customers.
This is not the case for every item that YYKawaii sells, but it is definitely the case for a lot of them. Nendoroids that would be around £50 are sold for £75, gatchapons are sold for £8 and many others are just extremely high when compared to other businesses in the UK that import and sell merchandise. As an example, YYKawaii sell the Persona 5 Ryuji nendoroid for £62, not including postage and requires a 50% deposit. Dekai Anime are charging £49.99 with free tracked shipping and you pay later, or it is £44.99 if you pay upfront. It can even be cheaper to order directly from Japan yourself compared to YYKawaii. As another example, YYKawaii sells the Listen Flavor x Danganronpa Chiaki hoodie for £100. I ordered myself the hoodie and the badge from the collaboration from CDJapan instead for just under £80 with tracked and insured shipping. I was not hit with any import tax on this order, so I saved myself £20 plus whatever YYKawaii would have charged for shipping and was able to get the badge too.
Number 3: Bad customer service.
Myself and many of my friends have experienced this, and it is one of our two biggest issues. If you do not have any questions or issues regarding an order/ordering, it is okay at best. A bit short and thus comes across a bit rude sometimes, but we always shrugged it off as her being busy or stressed. If you do have an issue or make a mistake however, is completely different. She is very rude and speaks down. She has snapped at people for asking for updates, telling them that they should be checking her stories with no consideration to the fact that others have lives and wont always catch every single story as they only last 24 hours. She has guilt tripped people when they have been unable to provide payment, bringing up the fact that she has two children in order to make the customer feel bad despite the fact that her children are irrelevant to a customer's own financial decisions. On multiple occasions, she has publicly called out "time wasters" which is extremely unprofessional and leads the die hard fans/customers attacking that person. I don't understand why everyone is okay with this behaviour, as other sellers would get called out for being so horribly childish and inappropriate as they are meant to be professionals running a business. Even when frequent customers make very polite suggestions, they are met with the same animosity.
I once held out hope that good intentioned customers giving genuine critique as they care and love her business would lead to improvement, but I have lost hope of that now. It has been a problem for years now with zero sign of anything changing. If you want to overpay and have a hard time securing your order, then YYKawaii is the one to go to. However if you want ordering to be easy with clear confirmation and prices that aren't inflated to an eye popping degree, it is better that you shop around and find an actual website rather than an Instagram account that doesn't even use their store feature.
Unprofessional, Unreasonable
I'm going to separate this in parts so it's easier
1.shipping
I had pre ordered 2 figures from YYKawaii and after it not arriving in a couple months, I emailed YY about it. It turns out that you pay 50% for pre order and another 50% when it becomes a regular NOT pre order. And when I checked what they wanted me to pay for the latter 50% it turned out to be £17 when the former 50% was only £12.
2. Service
When I got an email back from YY I emailed them again saying : "it (the email) is asking me to pay again for something I already bought, I don't really want to do that" to which they responded with a rude email saying stuff like , "it clearly says that you have to pay the remaining payment, so no. You have not payed the full price.".
Will buy again!!
Very fast shipping and I appreciate it coming in a bubble envelope which avoid things to break. Seller replies fast and is kind and professional, I recommend 100%!
