Useless company that scammed customers
Useless company that scammed customers.
I bought Tier 3 from AppSumo and later on, the Zagomail founder kept sending me UPGRADE Offers, and enticing me to pay a little bit more for the next Tier. Finally, I took the bait and paid more than I needed.
This UPGRADE was done outside AppSumo website and not subject to their refund policies.
Shortly after the UPGRADE, their system started falling apart and the next was downhill. They shuttered the company and disappeared.
Never do business with them again and remember the founder's name and make sure not to patronize him in the future, because at some point, he's going to pop up with one other scam or the other.
What a group of useless scumbags!

Emails just straight-up don't send. You'll create a campaign, assign your list, design and send... and it'll just sit there. Staff don't respond to messages or emails and there's a distinct lack of any professionalism with the site. Honestly, I think they're just leaving it to pasture so if you're thinking about joining, definitely look somewhere else

It was down for almost a month without sending emails. Support has not responded for over 30 days. Functions that are promised do not work. In other words, it is not reliable.
Serious Issues with Zagomail Purchase via AppSumo - Scam
Unfortunately i saw the zagomail from appsumo.
BE CAREFUL PEOPLE ITS A SCAM.
My payment was processed successfully, and the funds were withdrawn from my account. However, despite the completed payment, the corresponding subscription has not been activated or assigned to my Zagomail account. This leaves me completely unable to use the service I paid for.
Furthermore, my attempts to resolve this issue through Zagomail's customer support have been deeply unsatisfactory. Responses, when received, have been generic acknowledgements like "we are working on it," with no concrete resolution, timeline, or explanation provided. Effective support appears to be non-existent. And this is happening 4 months now!!!!!
Based on my experience I feel obligated to warn others. This situation has all the hallmarks of a scam operation.
Please be aware of this significant risk before considering a purchase from Zagomail. I recommend seeking alternatives until these serious operational and support issues are demonstrably resolved.

Terrible tech support ... there's no support or help
I'm dealing with a major breakdown of my account (my campaigns simply won't send), but I can't get a response from tech support. All I get are pat answers like, just re-send it, or just wait. I've resent 5 times and waited 4 days. UNREAL. Stop selling and start treating the customers you have currently properly!

Limited Customization: Customizing signup forms? Forget about it. Zagomail's rigid templates are an eyesore, and the inability to add custom code severely limits creative control. You're stuck with their unattractive designs.
Random Email Halts in Automations: As if the frustration wasn't enough, the system arbitrarily halts email sequences within automations. It's baffling and incredibly disruptive to our carefully planned campaigns. Imagine meticulously setting up an email flow, only to have Zagomail decide to stop sending them halfway through without rhyme or reason.
Mysterious Tags and Automations: To add insult to injury, Zagomail assigns random tags and automations to customers that we never created. It's as if the platform has a mind of its own, making changes without our consent or knowledge. This lack of control over our own data is infuriating and unprofessional.
Inconsistent Reporting: Trusting Zagomail's reporting is like playing Russian roulette. Metrics fluctuate wildly, making it impossible to gauge the true performance of our campaigns. Reliable data is crucial for making informed decisions, but Zagomail's reporting is anything but reliable.
In summary, Zagomail is a disaster waiting to happen for any business serious about email marketing. If you value efficiency, reliable support, and maintaining a positive sender reputation, look elsewhere. Zagomail's shortcomings far outweigh any potential benefits. Avoid it at all costs. My emails for approval got lost in some black hole, never to be seen again. My attempts to contact Zagomail's "team" were met with silence. Here's the truth: their team is unprofessional and doesn't care about their customers.
Save yourself the time and frustration. Stay FAR away from Zagomail!
I bought a lifetime subscription.
I bought a lifetime subscription with Zagomail because my list was growing and I couldn't afford the monthly amounts of most email marketing sites. I was skeptical... and a little nervous, but here's what I found:
The pros:
It's very powerful. It does as much as Mailchimp and Mailerlite, for the most part. Aside from missing the ability to give a file through a link (which is something I'd like), I'm thrilled with all it does.
Individual lists. I found Mailchimp seemed to be limited in its ability to split everything up into lists (Mailerlite, I believe does it just fine), but Zagomail does this naturally. This works great for me since I'm an author with two different types of books (children's books and YA/Adult books). The lists were huge for me.
The HTML editor. It's definitely a little trickier to work with than Mailchimp, but about the same as Mailerlite, but it's really great! I love it and the more I use it and get familiar with it, the easier it is!
Forms and Automations. This is just amazing. I'm thrilled with the way it flows and more.
Sending of the emails. I probably would have put this in the "cons" category when I first sent my email out (actually briefly considered cancelling my purchase over this one), but it's turned out, I think, to be a great process! So, they approve your first email because they don't want to be supporting spam (that I get), and this took a few days, which annoyed me, but then when it went out, I was frustrated because no one seemed to be opening my emails or receiving them. It looks like when they send it out they send it out in packets or groups of emails (20-50 at a time... I'm guessing). This made for a slow launch for that first email, but resulted in a higher open rate than anything I'd sent through mailerlite and mailchimp! Pretty cool!
Help desk. Their help desk is typically really easy to get a hold of, and that's been great!
Cons:
Setup. I do find a lot of the initial setup to be a bit confusing and more complicated than I would like, but I've found the customer support to be quick and helpful. For instance, validating my site and email was quite tricky (my site's through Bluehost). I also found the landing pages to be a bit tricky to get them working, but then I combined them with the embedded forms option and I like the process a LOT!
Useless for a company starting out - may have cost us thousands in donations.
I have been working for days trying to get my customer set up with landing page and an email inviting his customers to an event that is to be held tonight. The landing page setup wasn't horrible, a bit time consuming and clunky, but I finally got the hang of it.
The email set up was a mess. I had a really nice look, test emailed it, and found there are lines throughout the email between sections. So, I had to clear out any colors, still lines, but fewer now, and doable. Then I go to add in his list and send out. I ran a quick test 2 email list, all good. Then went to run his list (and had mine added as well) NOT A SINGLE ONE is showing up as anything in the reports. All zeros.
I did not get a copy of the new send either to my test list. While I was setting up, they said they would help make sure it got sent out fine, because it was a new list. NOPE. They swear it was sent, say it is a deliverability issue, that we imported a 7 year old list.
No, we did not, this is a list of his CURRENT customers, these people were not even in the list 7 years ago when he last used Mailchimp. That MailChimp acct is long gone and has nothingto do with this list. He has been using email bcc since 2017 and he has permission to email this 115 emails. (Seriously, that is all there are, and their tool blocks it!!)
"And what about my small test list? Your theory fails there. Why did I not get them the 2nd time round? Is there no way you can override to get it actually sent? Is there reporting I can see to show the issue, so I can show my customer?" No answer, crickets. He ignored me there out.
So, now we can't send anything from Zagomail (I tried a third send, the tool blocked it, put it to pause immediately), and this tool has become USELESS for any of my other customers, who are also small business like this one. Everyone one of my customers has an email list they intend to use in a tool like this and I was going to set them up with Zagomail lifetime. Heck, I wanted to use it myself and even stacked licenses. Wasted so much money here.
Apparently, you cannot start new in Zagomail becuase 115 emails will blow up your send. This is a NON PROFIT and we lost so much VALUABLE TIME on this, will cost them thousands in possible lost fundraising. And the support chat message? CRICKETS. They don't care their tool screwed over a non-profit for autistic kids.
We had to copy the landing page into an email and send it from there. Looks crappy as h*^&, but we had only 6 hours till the flippen event starts. It was supposed to go out Saturday, but all the issues at each step blocked us. I now also need to refund my customer as it was my reco that he purchase this.
All you had to do, Zagomail, was try and work with me to rectify this. You promised to, then blew me off.

really bad assistance
3 out of 4 newsletters sent thought their system went to the wrong list (like the one I excluded instead of the chosen one). The assistance was pretty much useless and stop to reply me when I asked for a solution and to cancel my paid plan. It's been months that I would like to cancel my subscription but it doesn't seem possible.
decent replacement for MailerLite
From the user experience stand point, Zagomail is easy to use, and I like that.
Works for woocommerce (they have a dedicated plugin for Woocommerce) and non-woocommerce websites (they have a dedicated plugin for wordpress Forms - that looks clean, easy to setup, allows for conditional steps and it works!)
Easy to import subscribers: since I wanted to simplify my lists, I imported my contacts manualy using CSV file, and it worked fine.
Creating automations: is not as straight forward, but it's not hard either, once you realize that you need to first create the sequence-emails to send during the automation, and set the automation after. There are also A LOT of options to play with.
At the beginning, the campaings requires Zagomail team approval: So you have to send them a few information about how you aquired the emails, your optin URL and some screenshots of your latest campaigns statistics. Although it's a bit annoying to get to this step, is also a good sign that Zagomail cares for the quality of their product.
The Campaigns page is a bit confusing with all the woocommerce related sequences that I can't delete and the individual campaign stats taking so much space on the screen.
Overall, I think this is my replacement for MailerLite and I hope the Zagomail team with keep this working for years.

Spam my emails constantly even after unsubscribing. Absolutely shocking approach.
In response to their comment. We have never been a user yet we are being spammed to all of our email extensions in our company. We do not want your emails and have never asked for them!
