Zenus markets itself as a global digital bank, but behind the polished interface lies a truly disappointing experience.
I deposited $100 expecting a simple onboarding process. Instead, I was blocked from using the account, never received proper access, and yet they started charging me monthly “membership fees” of $19.99 — even though I couldn’t use a single service.
For weeks I tried to close the account and recover my balance. They responded slowly, made excuses, and kept charging. Two months later, nearly half my balance was gone — for absolutely nothing.
When I finally got a call and was told a refund and closure would follow, the rep mentioned a form to complete — but no form was actually attached. Just more confusion and delay.
This feels more like a black hole for customer funds than a bank.
The double charge at signup? Only fixed after I got my credit card provider involved. The refund of the remaining balance? Still waiting.
If you're looking for a trustworthy digital bank, Zenus is not it. Opaque, disorganized, and borderline exploitative.
Avoid at all costs.

I open an account and close it the same day.
It's not really a bank, as it uses an intermediary bank like JP Morgan to receive money, this complicates transfers and makes them more expensive.
I do not recommend it at all.
Events in order :
- Asked if i'm eligible. support said yes.
- Applied. paid the money
- Got rejected with no clear reason or guide on how to fix the application.
After reviewing all the previous reviews. I have come to the conclusion is that this is fraud app.. thanks guys I am safe now..

I sent all the requested information, carefully filled out the form, satisfied all the requirements and paid the $50 application fee. A few days later I received an email saying that it was denied, no specific reason given. That was that.

DO NOT USE ZENUS BANK. If you want to keep your money then do not use Zenus Bank. I had a client pay me 9 weeks ago and Zenus Bank keep saying they are busy and will get to my transfer but then you get nothing. They stole my hard-earned money. Money I need for my Kids for Christmas. I needed to pay my rent and put food on the table for my family.
You see how the executives with Zenus Bank are attending parties all over the world with money they stole from there customers. They are not registered in the US so they answer to no one. I even begged the owners and executives at Zenus via LinkedIn to release my money and still just got ignored.
They have a customer support team that promise they will get back to me and never do. I have called more than 20 times and sent emails almost daily. They do not care. That’s $95 in fees so far for nothing and they stole thousands of dollars.
They will keep your money and you will not get a cent back. Be Warned.

The bank provided good service, and the customer support department was helpful. Their app is basic, but functional.
Unfortunately, they closed my account after 1,5 years of use without providing the reason. I can only assume that was due to me carrying a Russian passport (though I'm a resident of a different country), or due to making purchases on Play-asia.

I really liked using Zenus Bank.
