Sadly yes, the french closed the ports during late December 2020 due to the increased risk from COVID-19. Your package, along with pretty much everything due to go through the ports on those affected days was returned to sender and you were promptly refunded.

I don't think anyone could have predicted that, least of all a model shop in the Midlands, but will take your 1 star review on the chin.
