Needed a portable air conditioning unit…

Needed a portable air conditioning unit because curry’s let me down (don’t ask, read my review of them) so I visited your Haywards Heath store. Was greeted by friendly staff who plainly knew the products they were selling, and they steered me to exactly what I needed.
Even helped me load it into the car!
Faceless online retailers could learn a lot from you, I’ll definitely be back.

Due to the impending heatwave we…

Due to the impending heatwave we ordered a portable air conditioner to be set up in my elderly fathers home as he has health issues.
We ordered on 14th July, paid £30 for next day delivery. On using the tracking site the following day, the stated delivery date was 22nd!
Phoned your call centre to query, got put on hold, was then told earliest delivery was 20th. Told the call centre agent, who obviously couldn’t care less, that this wasn’t good enough. She ‘explained’ that the product was direct from manufacturer using their own courier so out of their hands. Offered to refund £30. Cancelled order, picked one up off the shelf at my local euronics.
In summary, why are you offering charged for next day delivery on products when you have no control over deliveries? Why do your call centre staff have no customer service training? The word ‘sorry’ was not used once, and the woman I spoke with gave the impression I was stopping her doing something more important. Won’t use you again.

Use ANYONE else.

Came home from work today to find yet another parcel launched over the fence into my back garden. The parcel was clearly marked fragile, and to add insult to injury it has been raining all day. This is the fourth time myhermes have done this, why would a courier driver leave a parcel in the open in the pouring rain? because they don't give a crap, that's why.
I will in future be asking retailers not to use myhermes and offering to pay for a different courier if necessary, as at least I know my parcels will arrive undamaged and dry. Awful company, avoid like the plague.

worst I've ever used

There are plenty of other recycling companies out there, I would strongly advise giving cash4phones a miss. they made a reasonable offer for my 6 month old motorola defy, sent the prepaid envelope but when I had heard nothing after a week I checked the my account section of the website to find out that they had revised their offer due to 'cosmetic damage'. The new offer was approximately half the original offer and on rejecting it I was told that I would have to pay £4.95 to get my phone back. I would have to question why a company that claims to be recycling phones is worried about cosmetic damage, this suggests to me that far from being recycled your old phone is being sold on to a third party at a profit. I shall be paying the 4.95 to get my phone back on principle, and will certainly never use this company again
