Hidden prices for a bed? - SHAMEFUL!

My wife and I wanted to book an escorted tour of South Africa and so, after shopping around, were attracted by the Titan Travel Tracks of Africa tour. It wasn't going to be cheap at (from) £6,795 per person (Black Friday sale price) but we didn't expect A BED to be something that would cause the price to increase. Selecting this 'holiday of a lifetime' we clicked through and the first 'choice' we were given was for a twin or double room. BOTH added £600 to the price! There was no bed included in the advertised price......SHAMEFUL.

These hidden 'extras' are the bane of online pricing tactics used by disreputable companies. Did they really think that we would spend the entire 16 nights sleeping standing up? With no included bed option you are forced to add a further £600 to a holiday already costing almost £14,000.

Needless to say we didn't carry on with the booking and would NEVER use Titan Travel for our holidays.

Disappointed

Disappointed that this second eye test was even needed. I can see no reason why it couldn't have resulted in a correct prescription first time around. Let's hope this one produces a new pair of glasses that I can see through.

Best price for the Manrose extractor fan that I needed to replace a faulty one. Free delivery (as it was over £50) and it arrived quickly on the day promised.

A very acceptable conversation ensued…

A very acceptable conversation ensued when I contacted Fountain about a replacement water softener that resulted in the offer of a 5% discount, which I accepted. The advertised dispatch in 2-3 days did not materialise (otherwise I would have given 5 stars) and I needed to chase after a week to be told the unit would be dispatched that day, which it was. It arrived very quickly via the courier and I have successfully fitted it in place of our old one.

Great price but collection niggle

Minor niggle with notification that my Click and Collect order was ready but the great price more than made up for this small inconvenience. I shall return for more!

Generally Positive

Positive: All parts I needed for my refurbishment of our Harvey Crown water softener are available from Wrekin Water and dispatch is very fast.
Neutral: Only Wrekin Water appear to be able to sell spares for my Harvey Crown and hence the prices are expensive (unable to compare with another supplier though).
Negative: Irrespective of what the part is the delivery cost is the same (£9.60 for my address in East Anglia). This is OK for the large replacement resin tanks but not OK for a tiny little injection assembly.

Adjust shipping costs to take account of the size and weight of the part please?

A little holiday gem!

This break was booked at very 'last minute' so little time to investigate the company, the hotel and the itinerary. What a delightful surprise when we found that this short break holiday was a little gem. The package of hotel overlooking the harbour in Folkstone, the half board and the inclusive trips were fantastic value for money and we would re-book again without hesitation. Our coach driver, Simon, was wonderful too, keeping us entertained and informed as we traversed the Kent and French countryside.

Joni M did a great job today

Joni M did a great job installing my Toyota Home Charge EV charging unit. He carried out the work effortlessly and completed the work in the time I was told it would take. He was careful to check everything with me as the installation progressed and was very careful to ensure the work was neat and tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joni M of We Power Your Car to friends and family.

And before I could ask - my Electrical Installation Certificate arrived in my email this morning. Great timing to complete the paperwork!

Better cover than the manufacturer offers

Compared to the equivalent protection service offers made by the manufacturer of my car MotorEasy were not only cheaper but offered a much more comprehensive level of cover at an affordable price. I was able to deal with a real human being (Tristan) who was incredibly helpful and the process of getting cover took less than 20 minutes. A very happy customer so far.

What a great result today

What a great result today. Having been notified that our monitoring service price was just about to go up again I asked in paying annually, rather than monthly, would earn us a discount. Sadly the answer was "No" but what the Customer Service guy, Hesham, said was that because we had been good customers for many years he was able to offer us a small discount for the next 6 months. This helps us during the cost-of-living crisis everyone is trying to deal with and means that we get 50% for the next half year. Thank you Hesham, you have rewarded our loyalty in the best way possible!

A combination of a great price and…

A combination of a great price and great service is exactly what I hoped for, and got, from Future Proof Solar when installing my GivEnergy All In One battery solution to our existing solar PV. A big 'shout out' to Jordan J of…

A big 'shout out' to Jordan J of GivEnergy for the great support he has given me over the past couple of days. Our new All In One battery system wasn't charging to it's full capacity (although it thought it was reaching 100%) so I sent an email into Giv support. Jordan checked and said we needed to have the battery recalibrated and could we give him permission to do this. A quick "Yes please" resulted in an instant start of the process by Jordan. He followed up the next day when it was completed as I wanted to understand more about the commissioning/calibration process. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction so thank you Jordan!

Cannot fault the Simplisafe support…

Cannot fault the Simplisafe support team. They are very knowledgeable and always helpful. We are a Premium Support customer and if there is any question mark about any of our kit then the team will offer to replace it at no cost to us. We had a small problem recently with our base station hub losing wifi connection and within days a new hub had been supplied and swapped out. Problem solved.
