I went into the preston Road Brighton…

I went into the preston Road Brighton store on Monday and ordered a new chest freezer that I had seen online. A friendly chap on the desk ordered the freezer for me and arranged for delivery today (Wednseday). Today two strong chaps delivered my freezer to my flat. Packaging all removed and ready to plug and use. The two chaps installed the freezer into the space that I had cleared for it. It was a tight squeeze and there is no way I could have done it myself. So big thanks to the delivery guys and to the chap at the shop that ordered it for me. Really pleased with the product which is almost ready for my first froozen food delivery. I will definitely use Carters again for my kitchen appliences. Thank you. JC

Pounland London Road Brighton

Pounland London Road Brighton. After scanning my basket of kitchen goods I scanned the last item which was a packet of laxatives. The supervisor woman who seemed to be in charge there demanded my ID before she could allow me to by them. I thought she was joking as its plain to see that I am an elderly man. In fact I'm 65 years old and look even older. But no she wasn't joking and preached company policy to me. She said I would need to show her my driving licence or passport. I had neither with me so could not by the product. In the end I left with nothing.
My message is to the management area managers and head office. Is it any wonder your company is struggling with staff that seem to have no common sense. I hope Poundland goes bust. With stupid staff like that its only a matter of time.

Driver made no attempt to deliver a…

Driver made no attempt to deliver a router that I am relying on. I recieved a text to tell me that Adriano would deliver my package between 10:33 and 11:33 am.At about 1050 approx i checked online with tracking to see that delivery had failed and my important parcel was going back to their Burgess Hill Depot. I immediatly went outside to try and find him. Literally 50 metres away was the DPD van. And a small unshaven DPD man was coming out of a gate. I said excuse me are you Adriano to which he replied no I am not. Adriano has a small van not a big van like mine. I searched the streets for an hour for Adriano with no joy. I should have asked to see the ID of the small spanish sounding DPD driver as afterwards I was thinking that this could be him as Adriano is obviously a dishonest driver who looked at my tower block and thought "Im not delivering up there" I checked my ring doorbell and as suspected no Adriano. What do I do now I dont drive and Burgess Hill is 17 km away. What a dreadful company. I am going to take this a lot higher because this is not a one off. I would give zero stars for causing me stress and upset.

Having just been on DPD's website apparently my parcel was refused and requested to be returned. BY WHO? Theres only me in this flat and I spoke to no one so again this is a blatent lie.

McDonalds London Road brighton awful toilets

McDonalds at London Road Brighton. Awful mens toilets. Two cubicles One with no loo roll or even a loo roll dispenser. No lock on door and no hook to hang coat/bag on either. Wet floors and stained toilet seat. and just grim. Wont be back.

Does anyone actually work here?

I selected 2 pairs of hiking boots and asked the two young ladies standing at the counter chatting if I could try them on. I was told to ask someone on the other side of the store so I crossed the floor to find that no one was there to help. I went back to the two young ladies and asked if there were any more staff that could help. I was told that I may have to wait for someone to show and directed back accross the store. Eventually a stressed young man appeared from a door and said he was dealing with other customers. There were at least half a dozen annoyed customers clutching footware waiting to try on shoes. After 10 minutes I put £200 worth of footware back on the shelves and went next door to Decathlon who were more than happy to sell me a few pairs of boots and the customer service was 1st class.

Now Broadband is a dreadful non existant service. Couldnt understand the gentleman in india. Signed me up then cancelled me within an hour. I had to use another debit card and a second email address and agree to change my phone number. No show of broadband engineer. Every end of contract I have been able to change providers without an engineer and from the street cabinet so why this company requires me to stay at home missing a days wages only not to show up. I exercised my right to cancel within the 14 day cooling off period and sent emails to customer serices and cc to complaints and recorded delivery letter asking for comfirmation that they have recieved communication from me. All ignored with no reply, then later a text from customer services asking me to choose 3 dates for engineer to call. I returned router unopened. Just waiting to see if they start taking money from my account as then I will contact ombudsman. Theyre cheap for a good reason and that is to reel you in and not suply the goods. Aviod like the plague.

Checking tracking info returned my goods to sender

I ordered goods from ebay. The goods were sent click and collect to a local store. As they had not reached the store in time I checked the tracking link Hermes sent to my email address. Just one click to check progress somehow returned the item to seller. I phoned Hermes (a robot) asked my tracking number then informed me what I already knew that it was on its way back to sender. This is the second time I have had a failed delivery with Hermes. I will never buy anything online that involves a delivery from this company. Thank for nothing big fat fail!

Highly recommended

I have been abroad three times since November 2018. I booked four nights in Rome followed by five nights in Athens and decided to go back to Rome on Sunday for a few days. I booked all three hotels through Loveholidays. To be honest I wouldn't book with anyone else.
The online booking process with Loveholidays couldn't be easier. They offer great value for money. I've been using them for a number of years now and never had a problem. I highly recommend them.

Generic reply expected and received.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have today gone live with another provider and hopefully free of this horrendous company.
I paid a whole year in advance for broadband and a year in advance for anytime calls. They started billing me again after 9 months.
They cant get anything right. They dont reply to emails and they leave you waiting up to an hour on hold. Their broadband speed is slower than any provider I have had. Avoid at all cost. They are the cheapest for a very good reason. They are rubbish and will stress you out for the whole time your with them. I have today cancelled direct debits to them as they are now trying to bill me for Jan Feb 2018 even though I moved to sky today. They owe me money. AVOID

NOTE. The reply from Origin is the one that appears on every complaint about them on here. When I complained to them they just trotted out the same generic reply. When I did contact them with all my details they ignored me. PATHETIC!

Although my passport was not delivered on the day and no card was left
The communication from this company was very good.
My passport arrived very early the next morning in time for me to get to work on that day. No harm done so a revised four out of five. Thank you

Very hard to contact. Many problems

The switch over from my last provider took so long that it cost me another month with my previous provider. The router arrived with all the wrong login details. There is an initial charge for incomplete month of service which is fine but having already paid it by direct debit a month ago they are now demanding it again via their new portal. I'm not paying twice!!! Dreadfully long waits on phone to speak to someone and online chat goes unanswered. Told today that being billed yet again is probably a portal teething problem. Red letter bill demand still showing.Even after speaking to customer services problem not resolved. Email to billing department unanswered. This company is causing me stress and wasted hours of my time trying to speak to someone!

Great holiday easy booking

I booked 2 rooms all inclusive to Sahl Hasheesh Hurghada for myself and a friend for 11 nights. I checked the prices on Loveholidays website and phoned one of their agents to book. The booking process couldnt be easier. My hotel vouchers were emailed to me within minutes.
The holiday was fabulous and I will be booking again with Loveholidays and would highly recommend loveholidays.
