Average at Best
Ringrose Law has many excellent reviews on Trustpilot, so in need of conveyancing we thought they would be an ideal choice.
The house sale has been completed, however our experience has been “average at best” and is certainly not the four and five stars that have the glowing reports.
A summary of some of the issue are:-
We have had to prompt the team for information, they have responded with comments like, “sorry, we have overlooked this” and “ sorry, we forgot”.
Having wrote to them with a specific instruction, after many weeks a prompt and they we were advised it would be done. A few days later another prompt and it transpired that someone sent out the information but to another family member, but did not comply with the specific instruction, which is a little disconcerting.
There was little alignment on what information needed to be via an electronic format and that which needed to be posted.
Not having had the best of experiences, we spoke with the Team Leader, who we were sure did not listen to the issues being raised. After nearly 3 months we prompted them and then received a letter which proved that they answered the question they wished to answer, somewhat like a politician, rather than addressing the issues raised.
Hoping that our experiences were a one-off, we contacted John knight, a senior director within Ringrose Law on 23/11/22 and were advised we would be contacted within a couple of days, its now 5/12/22 and regrettably there has been no contact and no opportunity to discuss our experience with Ringrose Law.
We are aware that solicitors are busy, we lay people rely on them to guide us and support us and ensure the conveyancing runs smoothly. In our case we did not have a feeling that the process of the sale was being controlled, it felt random and reactive, rather than proactive and planned.
Overall, a bit like an old school report “could do better”
