My house is a detached property. My insurance quote stated a semi detached house. Upon renewal I asked to change to detached and hoped this would reduce my premium slightly. But NO I was told it’s the same. My question is how can it be the same insurance cost for a semi and detached house. Surely if fire damaged it affects the joining house thus heightening the insurance risk.
I am very annoyed with this and I will be trying elsewhere for insurance upon renewal.
