I had the pleasure of reviewing The Black Hour wax melts from 1914 Candle Co.

The scent notes are:
🖤 Top: Black Fig
🚬 Heart: Smouldering Tobacco
✨ Base: Golden Amber

The presentation is clean and simple, with two plain wax melts — 5/5.

When I opened the packet, I’ll be completely honest: there wasn’t much scent at first, so I’m giving the aroma 3/5.

I popped both chunky melts into my burner. It took over an hour for the scent to get going, but then a lovely soft aroma began wafting around the room. It felt cosy and inviting, and I really liked it. Scent throw: 5/5
Scent description: 5/5 — a soft fragrance.

Would I recommend it? Yes, I’d recommend the wax melts. The Black Hour candle launches today, but I haven’t reviewed the candle. Wax melts and candles are different products and can perform differently, so I can only recommend the wax melts I’ve tested.

OMG I could not have asked for better!!Candles are delicious and the room sprays do more than I could have expected! With just a couple of squirms the room is refreshed and keeps on going and going!

We brought the baby powder wow what a fresh clean scent !
It filled the whole house , wasn’t over powering and lasted even after putting it out !
It was so hard to pick from the various range on sale but needless to say this is now our ‘ GoTo ‘ brand .

Wow what an amazing candle i got made,without a doubt it's the best one I've ever bought and will continue to use this company as the personal touch is everything ,I would highly recommend anyone to buy from 1914 you will not be disappointed.

I ordered 3 x room sprays and relied, specifically and deliberately, on the website decription "Reusable or recyclable plastic bottle". This to prevent dangerous breakages resulting from my serious peripheral neuropathy and risk of bottles slipping from my grasp. However, two of the containers were glass, not plastic, which means that I cannot run the risk of using them. They will be thrown away as being useless to me.
Since writing the above, I have had an honest and very helpful acceptance of fault and accountability and am happy to revise my review accordingly.

Beautiful long lasting candles and great customer service

Delighted with the table centerpiece I bought as a birthday present for a friend. Product was beautiful, smelled lovely, was very well packaged and was fabulous value for money. Customer service was excellent and super speedy. I will definitely be ordering from this company again.

What a wonderful family run company. The selection of candles melts and more is wonderful. Amazing offers and bundles too. I brought bespoke teacup candles for my mum on mothers day and then all my teaching assistants for Christmas. They all adored them

This is a relatively new company so we thought we’d give them ago! So glad we did. The candles & melts are amazing really strong and long lasting. We couldn’t believe the price either. Such value for money. The customer service and speedy delivery was faultless. These are now our regular wax supplier.
