Absolutely loved my 1:1 Spotlight review with Ross Grant at Act On This. It was focused, insightful, and genuinely game-changing. Ross cuts through the noise and tells you exactly what’s working, what’s not, and how to fix it—no fluff, just real industry insight.

I came away with clear, actionable steps and a much stronger sense of how to present myself. It’s rare to get feedback that is both honest and encouraging in the right balance—this really delivered.
Would 100% recommend to any actor serious about improving their profile and getting noticed.

I am thrilled to be a part of Act on This. It has re-energized me when I was down in the dumps, there is loads of really practical advice on the site, and in a live call I was given a few very practical pointers. It has helped me improve my Spotlight page, but more work is needed, and I was reminded of the need to be consistently proactive. Keep up the good work :-)

I used the free (excellent) resources for a while before getting a subscription. There's immediately applicable, point-by-point advice delivered by likeable humans who are successful jobbing actors. Try the free videos first then it's worth paying for some of the special casting interviews, etc.

This membership is a game changer. It’s always made me feel more excited and positive about the industry

For what I’ve seen so far, the website is mainly formed by interviews made with Ross -the founder- with guests who work in different roles within the entertainment industry. These interviews are very in-depth, which allows for a lot of notes to be taken. The downside is that they can be up to two hours long, sometimes longer, which can lead to missing information, as you may not have the time to go through all of it. I’ve left tabs open so I can come back exactly where I left off, which so far has worked for me to slowly go through the content.

Ross replies rather quickly to emails as long as he has the time; he’s polite, encouraging and open to questions, as daft as you might think they sound.

You also have the option to pay yearly for the subscription, which gives you access to an entire database of contact details they’ve spent hundreds of hours gathering, which gets regularly update, a goldmine to access if you have the materials.

It won’t happen overnight, but if you put in the time and effort, you will develop your career, or launch it, if you haven’t yet.

Act On This is actually a very good group. Ross being a likeable northern cheeky chappie, and a slightly younger version of myself (Hehe), connects with a lot of top people in the industry. There is lots of advice about other stuff too to do with you as an actor, not just talking to people who are already successful. Everything is recorded too so you can watch back at your leisure. More importantly in todays climate, its affordable for most of us.

I joined ActOnThis late last year and I can honestly say it’s the best thing I could have done to improve my knowledge of the acting industry. With the information I have received from the many webinars past and present, I have signed with an agent and started to book tv jobs. I couldn’t recommend ActOnThis higher enough. Really glad I join this community. There's an amazing amount of content - in-depth interviews with agents, casting directors and actors. Ross is an engaging host and he's focused on one thing -helping his members book more TV work.In what can be a lonely profession, it's great to have Act On This on your side.

In January I joined Act On This for their Free Taster Bundle and one of the videos on there was a Showreel surgery with Chris Stone and Ross. I acted on the formula Chris talked about, fast forward to February I met an agent at the Actors Expo who then went on to sign me and compliment me on my showreel!!!! This goes to show that if you act on the sessions provided by Act On This it really does benefit your career! I enjoyed the free bundle so much I have now become a member of AOT and I listen to all the sessions whilst I’m busy at work! I don’t think I’ve ever learnt more about the acting business than from this team. Thank you Ross and Petch!

I was somewhat sceptical of Act on This beforehand tbh, but I gave it a try thanks to a great starter option. As I first logged in, I saw an open invitation from Ross, who runs it, to contact him for any reason. And when I did, I was also pretty unsure he’d actually reply!… But actually he did, and not with some generic 2 liner, but addressing in some depth what I’d requested help about and pointing me to helpful podcasts on the platform particularly FOR ME!

I was so impressed and quite moved actually and have since joined calls to realise that these are not just generic interviews about dis and donts etc. but about finding out who is casting NOW, how they work and how to contact them!

Basically you need to be on this platform to be in the know!
