Delayed return processing and poor customer experiencene
I have been a loyal Alensa customer since 2022, purchasing my contact lenses every three months. After several years of regular orders, this was the first time I needed to return a product due to a change in my prescription.
The returned order was sealed and in exactly the same condition as when I received it. I initiated the return on 15 May and, 24 days later, contacted customer service to ask why it had still not been processed.
I was informed that returns may take up to 30 days to be processed. I explained that I simply wanted the amount credited to my customer account so I could use it immediately to purchase lenses with my new prescription. This request was denied, and I was told that the procedure requires me to place and pay for a new order first, and use the credit only once it is eventually issued.
I find this disappointing. After years of being a loyal customer, I would have expected a more flexible and customer-oriented approach, especially considering that the returned products were unopened and that the request was entirely reasonable.
Instead, I am being asked to finance a second purchase while waiting for the refund from the first one to be processed. While I will of course use the credit when and if it is eventually issued, this experience has seriously affected my confidence in the company’s customer service and willingness to accommodate long-standing customers.
