I absolutely LOVE Alignable and the…
I absolutely LOVE Alignable and the connections made on the platform.
There are 2 challenges with the site though:
1) You can't make enough connections without paying way too much. I find the 40 connections-per-month limit far too low for the cost. On LinkedIn, you can get 200 connections per WEEK for $79.
2) Not being able to set up events without the prior authorization of an Alignable person is VERY frustrating and cumbersome. How do you get people attracted to what you have to offer if you can't really connect with them in the best way possible for your brand? Again, this is very limiting.
So, if more connections were possible (WITHOUT having to ask for introductions), AND being able to set up events from your page, I wouldn't have a thing to complain about. The site has MANY wonderful options and opportunities otherwise. 🙂

We’re very intentional about keeping connection requests lower, as it encourages more meaningful, relationship focused interactions rather than high volume outreach or marketing driven messages, which is a key way Alignable differs from platforms like LinkedIn. In the same spirit, events are currently limited to group leaders so we can ensure hosts are vetted and focused on true networking and business growth, not self promotion.

The company offers many engagement options
The company offers multiple factors for interactions between businesses and customers and connections you already have. They let you interface through a variety of functions, invitations and at your convenience. You choose your participation level and success, but they can enable you to do more and show you where you can have greater opportunities.

I received an email with a question…
I received an email with a question from alignable, and wrote a carefully thought out response.
As soon as I tried to post it, alignable demanded I pay $29 to do that. I didn't, and my carefully thought out and written response just vanished. I wish I had copied it, but it was gone. That sucks. I will not subscribe to an outfit that just wasted my time and thinking without warning.

Hi Gordon,
I'm not sure what happened here, however we never charge to post into our groups or comment there either. Those features are there for all of our members to use. It appears we may have suggested you meet someone based on your ideal customer and referral partners. If you received a pop up telling you to upgrade, it is only due to the fact that you had used all of your monthly connection credits and in order to connect with this person, and receive more credits for the month, you needed to upgrade.
Quality Connections for ALL!
I have met some incredible people here and some Incredible companies. I would recommend more people check this out and particpate.

Warning: Impossible to Unsubscribe / Deceptive Practices
"I was lured into this platform simply to support a customer, and it has been a nightmare ever since. Despite never creating a formal account, I am bombarded with up to 5 emails a day. I have tried their 'global unsubscribe' multiple times to no avail. They ignore opt-out requests and trap you in a loop. I have officially filed complaints with the FTC and the BBB. If you value your inbox and your privacy, stay far away from Alignable."

We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand how receiving unwanted emails can be frustrating.
First, we would like to clarify how our email preferences and unsubscribe options function. Some emails from Alignable include links that allow members to unsubscribe from specific categories of communications, such as notifications or promotional messages. These links update email preferences rather than fully removing a user from all Alignable communications. A complete unsubscribe requires either adjusting all notification settings within the account or deactivating the account entirely.
That said, we have taken immediate action to resolve this matter. We located the account associated with your information and have fully deactivated it. This action ensures that you are unsubscribed from all future Alignable communications. Additionally, we have unsubscribed the email address referenced in this complaint to prevent any further messages.
Regarding your concern about invitations, Alignable does not send invitations without a user’s explicit participation and authorization. In order for any invitations to be sent, a member must first choose to import their contacts. This requires the member to actively sign into their external email provider, such as Google, through that provider’s authentication process and grant permission for Alignable to access their address book.
After access is granted, the member is presented with a list of their contacts and must then take an additional step to select which individuals they wish to invite. The system provides options to select contacts individually or in groups, and invitations are only sent after the user confirms their selection. This is a deliberate, multi-step process that requires clear user action at each stage. Alignable does not independently access contact lists or send invitations without these actions being taken by the member.
We understand that this process may not always be fully clear to recipients of invitations, and we appreciate the feedback.
I love Alignable
I love Alignable. For me, it’s a much better alternative to traditional chamber mixers, as it allows for real, meaningful interactions with people I wouldn’t have otherwise met. I also appreciate that everyone follows the ‘rules’—focusing on getting to know each other rather than giving elevator pitches.
