Total scam, I had a vehicle on facebook marketplace place a guy by the name of George Oliver contacted me asking all the right questions then asked for a report from Alpha inspections uk !! £49 I refused and a number of exchanges were had, very insistent would look at the vehicle until he had received this report. Thankfully I came across similar people on Trustpilot who had had the same experience!!
I blocked him straight away!!
I was just scammed as well. They are not a UK company at all - they are based in the US. The 'buyer' blocked me on FB Marketplace almost the moment I paid for the silly report. He had no intention of coming tomorrow and paying the asking price.
More fool me for being so naïve.
Scam company do not use they try to coerce you to use their site through fbook should be shut down
A scam company that uses fake profiles on Facebook to try and get you to purchase a report from their website! Sham of a company.
How it works is they message you about a car you're selling on marketplace, from a fake profile pretending to be an interested buyer, and pressure and pressure you into buying a report from Alpha Inspections. They actually got very rude and pushy about it
As others have described I got a message on Facebook Marketplace for a vehicle I was selling. Asking a few questions wasting my time and then asks me to fill out one of these inspections for £49. Wouldn't take any other answer or use any other service and messaging from a locked profile. 100% a scam
Stay away. I got scammed and they gonna use our card details as well as 49.99 already gone.
I want to warn others about this website and it is a SCAM.
I was contacted by someone on Facebook who said they were interested in buying my car. At first, everything seemed normal, but they refused to come and see the car before I completed a “background check” using a link they sent.
The website looked very professional, so I trusted it and paid the fee. After that, nothing happened. I didn’t receive anything useful, and the person from Facebook stopped replying.
Later, I found out this is a common scam. They use fake Facebook profiles pretending to be buyers, and then trick you into paying for a fake vehicle check.
My advice is do NOT use this website and never pay for anything a “buyer” asks you to do.
100% scam. Stay safe.
This is a new scam site used by people on Facebook market place and possibly more sites, they try to get you to purchase a inspection before they 'purchase' your car
