Questionable business practices

Terrible company to work for, have incredibly questionable hiring and retention practices. They are also pushing local farm stands from selling products in Philadelphia venues. This organization is not recommended due to shady practices from higher ups. They are trying to get rid of local help and farms, very sad that they are doing this, esp. in this day and age.

Do not use this company

This company bills for services that we don’t receive, telling me that’s how it works that I get billed 52 weeks a year even if they don’t show. The drivers forge our name on service invoices, we are billed for incorrect items, we are billed inconsistent amounts for the same services this company is a joke.

Scam company!!

I used Aramark Vestis for Mat and Mop service. They billed for services and did not show. They forged my initials on my invoices. Now they are claiming I had a contract even though I repeatedly refused to sign one and they will not pickup their dirty mats and mops. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Worst company I have even done business with. SAVE YOURSELF

Aramark Kitchen Porter v Inept Management

I worked full-time as a kitchen porter for Aramark for almost a year. I worked in a large kitchen/washroom in offices in Sunbury. Previous to that I did about six months of agency work for Aramark, once again as a kitchen porter at the same location.
In all that time there was not a single day when all the equipment worked. Dysfunction dishwashers, conveyor belts ( for carrying plates, trays etc from restaurant to the washroom) would often break down, drains blocked.
Or how about missing or outdated fire extinguishers. There should be Fire extinguishers in or near ever room, but many were missing. Fire extinguishers should also be tested every year, yet many had not been tested for over 18 months.
Fire alarms that did not work, I repeatedly told management about this series safety issue, but nothing was ever done to fix the fire alarm.
Total contempt for their employees safety.

There also seemed to be a lack of cutlery, how can any catering company run a restaurant without adequate cutlery?? On busy lunchtimes there would not be enough cutlery for the customers having their lunch.
Add to that the constant lack of staff.
All this meant that the staff who were working would end up being expected to do their own work and the work of the none existent workers. Obviously this is impossible, one worker can only do the work of one person.
But despite the dysfunctional equipment, lack of equipment, lack of cutlery and lack of staff, management would blame the unfortunate kitchen porters if and when work was not completed or when there was not enough cutlery for the customers in the restaurant.
It is management's responsibility to make sure that the equipment works, that there is enough equipment available and that there are enough kitchen porters to do the work, but it seems it was far more convenient to put the blame the kitchen porters for any failures or when work is not completed.
Eventually I had had enough of the attitude of management and left Aramark.
When I did leave I made a complaint about the poor working conditions, broken or lack of equipment, faulty fire alarms and missing or outdated fire extinguishers, lack of staff and poor and inept management. I sent various emails to Human Resources, but surprise, surprise.. it seems that I was mistaken, management were perfect, all the equipment worked and everyone was happy..
Avoid this company, Aramark are a horrible company to work for, they have no respect for their workers, especially kitchen porters. Their main priority seems to be making a profit, regardless of how they make this profit.
A one star review seems far too generous!!

Aramak useless company with 0 respect for staff

I worked for,arakmak in Denmark Femern this company is useless with management there have there head,so fare up there own ass, they don't smell the shit, they treat workers like shit and lay off people with out reason.
In the 6 months I worked for them they layed off more people or 10 times the people i seen got layed off in the past 20 years, working Do not hirer them, do not work for them

This company is the worst

This company is the worst! I have tried and tried to work through the issues I've experienced over the last year and a half but I have finally given up on them. From being charged for service that I never received, being told I received service from them when in fact, my business was closed, to promises of reimbursement when I was charged for services not delivered that I never received, this company is a mess!
Even firing them is a nightmare. I called them yesterday and fired them and told them to come and collect their property (I rent floor mats from them.)
Of course to absolutely no one's surprise, they attempted to deliver new mats today which i refused. I then received an email saying that the mats were delivered and I would be billed for them.
DO NOT do business with this company. Worst vendor experience I have ever had in 20+ years in business!

I refuse to sign up for events anymore

I tried working with this company and I am actually still recieving text messages to work events and I refuse to sign up on any of thier events, As of today I have yet to recieve my on the job orientation pay, i have contacted HR, I have emailed several different people along with calling the hot line # they give you to call and have reported this situation. As of today i have yet been compensated. Even the hotline said thier hands are tied as they ave done all they could to help me. Granted its only a few hours of pay, its the principle of the whole situation. very unprofessional. I wont even mention how un sanitary thier kitchen area is in the freeman collisium and how unprofessional they can be in that dept. I will say i worked the Toyota field and everyone there was professional and very helpful. I never had the opportunity to the Frost Bank Center as i feel like they pick and choose who gets on the schedule first with ccertain events, As i had signed up for several events and was never scheduled, they only wanted to schedule me at the events no one else wants to work. I am not the only person who has had missing pay checks, though I cant speak for them but I will say after I vented about my situation in front of other workers, they too have had the same issue. NO one and I mean absolutely no one will ever respond to your emails and if they do its weeks later.

I worked for Aramark at Heritage…

I worked for Aramark at Heritage Stadium in Cincinnati OH and let me tell you, It was THE WORST experience I have ever had working at a job! The manager, Chrystal, who showed up and immediately had an attitude! She then proceeded to insult each of her co workers and in front if customers the whole night! Customers in my line were making comments about why she was so vulgar and insulting! She then stood there not taking any customers while all out lines were crazy long($2 beer night) Carmen(the girl she insulted the most all night) walked by an yelled to the customers that she was open, she made the comment ‘well I wasnt going to say anything’ THIS IS THE MANAGER!! All the employees said this was the way she was each night! She needs to be reported because no one should be spoke to the way she spoke to each employee, she even snapped at customers! Very unprofessional and very out of line!! I will never work for this company again!!

If i could give zero i would

If i could give zero i would. absolutely useless company with zero thought about their customers and the experience they receive. So wrapped up in their own agendas they forgot about their staff. In some areas you can't even make a purchase because they insist on using their own systems which don't work!

Management shows favoritism

Management shows favoritism. Treats employees like they're beneath them. Harasses the hard workers, and babies the lazy ones. They focus on the small tasks, and ignore the real problems within Aramark. If, you report them to HR, they retaliate by finding something to write you up for.

My name is Gregory A Huff (U.S Army disabled) I worked for Aramark September 8th 2025 as a Suite Supervisor at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland Ohio today is October 3rd and I am yet to be paid for the 12 hours i worked. Is this how you folks treat everyone or just Disabled Veterans? I gave the rating of 1 star only because that's the lowest available.

Far View Lodge bar

Far View - Lodge in MesaVerde park has the best bartender I’ve ever met. David, took orders for food, & served the bar while putting up with our group of 37 people in our group as well as other guests. He was so patient, pleasant & efficient. I don’t know how he did it. He deserves a raise!

This company is affiliated with Honest Jobs. I applied here in Colorado for a bar back position. But because of a misdemeanor charge about a month ago they said they couldn't offer me employment? It has been my only charge I've received in the 48yrs I've been alive. This company is a waste of time and should be taken off Honest Jobs. I am going to reach out to Honest Jobs customer service and report this Aramark company. Like others I'd give no stars if could. Supposed to be a fair chance employer.

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. This has got to be the sleaziest company i have ever dealt with. Don't sign a contract with them for your linen or uniform services unless you plan on inspecting every invoice with a fine tooth comb. They will increase your prices at random and put a note on you invoice in the smallest font possible that there's been an increase to your services. your contract will say they can do this and that you have 14 days to reject the increase but because you're trying to run a business and have 50 thousand other things to deal with you aren't looking at all the fine print on your invoices and then next thing you know the contract pricing you signed 2 years ago has increased 125%. Just shady, sleazy practices.

Absolutely the worst Uniform Company I…

Absolutely the worst Uniform Company I have ever had the displeasure of working with in my 40 plus years in the automotive industry. We are under contract for them to provide services they refuse to provide and yet bill us for each and every week. Now they insist on fighting the contract instead of ackowleding their failure to provide the service we are paying to receive. Run far and fast from their corrupt way of doing business.

Update: 06-24-24 Now the GM has emailed me to threaten legal action on our company. Wow, they owe us money and refuse to provide the services we are charged and all we are trying to get is what is owed to us and get out of the contract becuae they can't provide service. Unbelievable company, I guess that explains the (F) rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Disability Discriminated against.

Applied as conference and events host at Alton Towers Conference Centre. Literally just left same job title, was told it’s the same job and I was ideal for the position. Went through all duties with manager Jack Degg, absolutely No mention of bar work in interview. Advised them of learning disability so not able to use tills. Also asked to only work until 10pm because of journey home as job description said “flexible hours” was told working till midnight was mandatory. Had to do various food courses and challenge 25 course before start.

Aramark induction was awfully depressing, small room at back of canteen. Nothing to big you up working at Alton towers, Unnecessary as everything mentioned in the room was on the modules we had to complete before getting there. Manual handling section was completely rushed through, almost overlooked. Used name on contracts even though they were told to use a different name, took share to change, absolutely no regard to a persons individuality, beliefs and preferences. Then heard nothing for couple of weeks.

Emailed out of the blue saying I’d missed shifts, wasn’t aware of actually starting as I’d had no start date, no email, no texts, nothing. Hadn’t even had complete uniform. Queried the courses I’d had to take and was told bar work was mandatory for all staff. Explained again about learning disability and wasn’t able to work tills. Had no reply just taken off system and job employment terminated. Job title on contract was events and conference host, actual job title on workjam app was food and beverage worker. Not what I’d applied for.

Treated unfairly due to disability. Absolutely no value or regard for staff.
