Worst law group! Text me over and over again reminding me of appointment and constantly asking if I want to reschedule or cancel. Then he missed appointment and I had to call in. Retained Rapacke Law on 5/19/2023 to do Prior Art Patent Search ($2,000). Found several related patents, closest being a Japanese patent that solved the same issue but in a very different manner.

Retained Rapacke Law on 6/19/2023 to file for a patent. ($5,500)

Rapacke Law finally files patent application on 11/28/23 more than five months after fee was paid. This five months has been filled with months of silence and missed deadlines during which I offer to draft an initial version, get on the phone to talk through language, etc. Anything to advance the process! I'm making the same corrections to drawings and text (including spell check issues) throughout.

My idea is simple but seems to be beyond the assigned associate's comprehension.

3/23/2026 - Application rejected:
Drawings rejected - Produced by Rapacke's artist, checked by his associate.
Claims fail due to format - Prepared by Rapacke's associate.
Prior art discovered - Similar US Patent applied for in 2022. (Wait! I paid $2000 to find this three years ago and it was a US patent, not some obscure foreign patent!?!)

Andrew is happy to fix HIS ERRORS for another $3,000. He can't understand my frustration. Not willing to throw more good money after bad, especially now that the prior art has been discovered.

In his final communication Andrew even spells my last name incorrectly. This is indicative of the lack of attention to detail experienced throughout the entire process.

The entire process is documented in e-mail. No controversy as to the the facts recounted above.

With this amount of time invested personally in a project, I needed to make the right choice on which patent law firm to select. I did. The Rapacke Law Group was precisely the right choice: they provided outstanding guidance, process expertise, technical writing support, and service, and I am extremely pleased with the final outcome of the patent application submission product.

I worked with this firm on securing my second patent and on a more recent expansion of my IP protection. As the work progressed, the scope became more technical and nuanced, and the team handled that complexity thoughtfully. Pricing felt reasonable given the level of detail involved.

While it seemed to take ages to finalize my patents, this is because they are amongst the first patents designed for constructing & pressuring above & below ground facilities on other planetary bodies (the moon, mars, titan), or in space.
