I'm a professional video editor and their AI voice reading from my script is the best AI voice I've ever used! I've been using Async for several months. FRAUD!

Changed their branding without even emailing me to let me know. I reported it as fraud, which cancelled my credit card. Not only that, they upped their charge amount on me, again without telling me, TWICE.

Would not trust these people as far as you can throw them. Whether or not you signed up yourself or someone else has with your details they will not issue you a refund and their confirmation/ impending payment emails go directly to spam which is quite convenient for them! Apparently they have no control where things land… I beg to differ seeing literally every other subscription service manages to communicate effectively. No good intent whatsoever, only the intention to garner as many unsolicited yearly subscriptions as possible. Spend your money elsewhere.

I had a client that had the worst sounding podcast ever. She was using another well known app that was so hard to figure out and had the worst sound quality. I tried a couple of different apps and ran across this one. THIS IS THE APP YOU NEED!!!!!!! even if you have a cheap temu or poor sounding recording it will give you the polish that you deserve. my client signed a 2 year exclusive contract with me based on this software and she didnt have the best recording material.

Since Async has taken over the customer service through the Discord app has been amazing! The editing options have come long was as well. I’m really enjoying the AI additions too! There are a few little things that can be challenging but all in all it has been a good experience!

Horrible doesn’t do anything useful and on top of that they make it incredibly difficult to cancel without contacting them. When trying to it said I had the wrong email but clearly they have been sending me emails to that email so?
Piece of junk got charged for a full fing year and they don’t have the decency to even refund me.

At the moment, we don’t see any communication from you before the trial expired letting us know there was an issue with cancellation.

Async really simplified my life

I’ve so much “suffer” for editing the sound of my podcast because I’m not really good with technology.Others platforms and logiciel was to much for me. I finally ask my fiancé how to do it and he recommended me async. It was so easy to do, in less than 30 minutes the episode was ready to be posted.

My experience with the app was great…

My experience with the app was great the only thing that I have a problem with is when I download big files it slows down. T Fix that and he more items I add the slower it goes.

Async it's great and better than other similar platforms

Async (former Podcastle) is great and I use it since many years. Now in Async they have many more functions and you have a powerful content creation studio where you don't only create podcasts but videos, reels, audio tracks and more. It even gives you a doc or pdf file with the transcriptions of your audio and videos! I highly recommend Async, I prefer to use Async rather than Riverside for the edits to create my podcast episodes.

When the platform works it's solid.

If you produce a podcast with guests in different geographies, if you want solid quality audio and video direct from their machines rather than cloud recordings, if you don't have a machine that can handle audio and video editing, then this can work for you.

However, if you think paying for a business level membership (£300+ annual) should warrant a good level of customer support then you should steer clear.

The 'ask for help' live-chat is AI first (a lot of companies are now) but it can only repeat the same basic lines in the standard guide which you will have already read. Then, you may be offered the chance to 'talk to a human' - in this case you will have to wait up to 12 hours (my shortest wait has been 4 hours for initial contact) to talk to someone I am confident is either also an AI or is working Customer Support for so many other companies that they can't possibly have a handle on their own platform.

Everything on the platform is so AI based that you can't get a simple solution to an issue. You also can never speak with any tech support even though you are assured there are 'engineers working on your case' and 'your ticket is a priority for us'.

Often your support 'agent' will repeat what they have said or ignore what you have listed as the issue. That, coupled with the hours long waits, is incredibly problematic when there is the chance that hours of your own work (which may be to a deadline) is lost.

To their credit, they did save a recording after their own platform malfunctioned. In this case, they gave me access to a cloud recording that they had. What I don't understand here is why I don't have access to those cloud recordings anyway? I had to wait over 12 hours to be given access to a cloud recording which they already had.

In any case, when the platform works, it does exactly what is advertises. It is only when things go wrong (which is upsettingly frequent) that issues arise.

While we do use an AI assistant to help with initial guidance (as many platforms now do), every escalated conversation is handled by human support agents. We’re sorry if your experience made it feel otherwise - that’s certainly not the impression we want to leave.

You’re absolutely right that response time matters, especially when you’re working against deadlines. Waiting several hours when something has gone wrong is stressful, and we understand how that compounds the frustration. We’re actively reviewing response speed and escalation workflows to improve turnaround times, particularly for Business users.

Regarding cloud recordings, we appreciate you raising that question. In certain recovery scenarios, our team may need to manually provide access depending on how the session was stored or processed. We’ll share it with the product team for consideration.

Worst customer service I have ever…

Worst customer service I have ever known on any subscription service I have had to deal with. Cancelling is a long process of check boxes, confirmations and finally it says you have cancelled your account. Didn't realise there ANOTHER confirmation via email. So they charged me £40 and won't refund. Literally a scam.

The magic dust filter seems good at first but actually destroys some audio and there's no custom settings. You can do it on mics with bleed from another guest as it messes it all up - basically makes it useless.

Also, the free usage of the filters didn't;t last anywhere near the time it says. It's literally a trap.

I am now using other providers who treat their customers with respect and decency.

Never heard of this company until a…

Never heard of this company until a £289 charge got declined from my bank. Called my bank straight away and they cancelled my card and blocked the company from taking any money. They still keep trying every few days. Total scam!!

please pay my money back!!!!

I signed up for what was advertised as a free trial and was later charged nearly £500 for an annual subscription when I was unable to cancel during the trial period due to internet access issues. I contacted Async immediately once I became aware of the charge and spent over a week going back and forth via email trying to resolve it. Despite explaining the situation multiple times and even stating that I have proof my WiFi was not working during that period, no one showed any empathy or willingness to investigate or help. I was repeatedly told that nothing could be done due to policy. This charge has caused significant financial stress, and the lack of understanding or flexibility has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly caution others to be very careful when signing up for a free trial with Async.

had an issue logging in recently and the customer service team at Async was fantastic. They responded quickly, walked me through the fix, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. That kind of support makes a huge difference.

As a newer podcaster, I can’t say enough about how easy their platform is to use. The interface is intuitive, editing is simple, and I’m able to produce high-quality audio without feeling overwhelmed.
