My experience with Barton & Associates…

My experience with Barton & Associates was extremely disappointing. What initially appeared to be a professional and supportive organization ultimately became a stressful and frustrating experience.

Communication was inconsistent and, at times, unclear. Expectations and obligations were not explained in a transparent manner, which led to confusion and unnecessary complications later on. Instead of working collaboratively to resolve issues, the process felt rigid and transactional.

What concerned me most was the lack of flexibility and willingness to address the situation fairly once problems arose. Rather than focusing on a reasonable resolution, the approach felt overly aggressive and impersonal. For a company that works with healthcare professionals, I expected a higher level of professionalism and respect in how situations are handled.

Overall, the experience left me feeling that the company prioritizes its own interests over maintaining fair and supportive relationships with the professionals it works with.

Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering working with Barton & Associates to review their agreements carefully and ensure they fully understand all terms and expectations before committing.

This review does not reflect the full picture of this engagement. From the outset, we worked to communicate expectations clearly and address questions as they came up. When concerns were raised, our team made multiple good-faith efforts to find a reasonable path forward.

The central issue, however, was a disagreement over obligations that had already been discussed and agreed upon. While we are always open to resolving challenges collaboratively, we also have a responsibility to apply our processes consistently and fairly across all of our partners.

We stand by the professionalism of our team and our commitment to transparent, respectful working relationships.

Do not work for this company

This company hired to work a contract in Florida. I show up to work at the clinic on the Monday and the clinic said they never agreed to contract me for that day. The Barton recruiter never called and told me that (apparently the clinic communicated with Barton over the weekend.) The recruiter said they didn't check their email . I drove over an hour to work and asked for my milage and time to be re-imbursed and they said they would but never did!
I also had to beg and throw a fit for them to pay me for a whole weeks worth of work I did prior to the scheduling error. Barton claimed the didn't have my information to pay me (ie- direct deposit-bank account.) FYI-There are other locums agencies 100% better. Recruiters can work the weekends that's part of the job that shouldn't be an excuse.

Excellent. Previous starting I was notify about my roll and responsibilities, so I was clear about measurable expectations and goals that provide direction and a sense of accomplishment while I gave my contribution to meet company's goals.
I was in permanent contact and support with a company representative, while in my assignment, so I have a chance to evaluate services I provided. I recommend others professionals to engage working with this company, they offer a family environment that made you to feel like in home, "far from Home"

MY RECRUITER SUSAN IS AMAZING! SHE ALWAYS MAKES SURE THAT I AM COMFORTABLE AND IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS SHE JUMPS IN TO FIX THEM IMMEDIATLY. EVERYONE HAS BEEN GREAT WITH HELPING ME TO GET MY LICENSE IN MULTIPLE STATES AS WELL AS IT IS NOT EASY IN SOME STATES.

Improve on the communication aspect…

Improve on the communication aspect with the institution that is seeking personnel from you, i.e.
state licensing , DEA certificate, board certification
early.So, the person you are presenting to them does not have to keep filing paper work. Ask beforehand what will they need to fulfill that Locums.

My experience with Barton Associates has been excellent. I have the privilege of working with Ms. Daniela B., one of the best recruiters I’ve ever met. The Barton Associates team checks in regularly to make sure I am satisfied with my assignments and treated well. Even after my contracts ended, Ms. Daniela continued to reach out every few months and that level of care is the reason I chose to return to Barton Associates.

I've been working with Barton since May of this year. My recruiter, Faith Page has been wonderful. Also, when I've had any questions regarding pay or time cards in general, the payroll department has been quick to respond. I would highly recommend Barton.
