⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Poor Communication and Customer Service

Very disappointing experience with Bathroom Discount.
I ordered a product through their website, only to receive an email the following day saying the item was out of stock and no longer available. When I contacted them to discuss alternatives, I was told there had been an error on the website and they could not obtain the product.

A few days later, I received another email confirming that the product had arrived at their warehouse and would be dispatched shortly. I assumed the issue had finally been resolved. However, after waiting another five days with no delivery, I called again and was told that the product was still unavailable and that the previous information had been incorrect.
What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of communication between departments. Different members of staff were giving me different information, and at times even people within the same department seemed unaware of what was going on. Instead of taking ownership of the issue, I felt that everyone was blaming someone else.
As a contractor installing a bathroom for my client, this was not just an inconvenience. Their misinformation and delays damaged my credibility, disrupted my schedule, and put me in an embarrassing position with my customer. In total, more than 10 days of my time were wasted.
The only solution offered was an apology and a refund. To make matters even more frustrating, the same product still appears to be listed as available on their website.
Mistakes can happen, but repeatedly providing incorrect information, failing to communicate internally, and wasting a customer’s time is simply unacceptable.

Excellent customer service, extremely responsive and friendly staff. Suggested alternative options when my item was not in stock and helped to expedite delivery as I needed the items quickly.

They could not do enough to help me and their prices are extremely competitive. Thanks so much to Jason and the team.

Changing price of advertised price on their website once the order was complete. Not good retail practise.

Advertising item on their website at certain price. Ordered and paid for item. Received confirmation email. One day later received another email saying the item was incorrectly priced and asking me to pay a further £171.61 !!! Checked with Trading Standards who confirmed they couldn’t do this. Company pointed out it was in their T &C’s. Complete waste of my time. I actually bought the same item from another company at £35 less than Bathdisc’s so called ‘mistaken’ price……Having worked in retail for many years myself, I would avoid Bathdisc.

Been working with the BDC team for…

Been working with the BDC team for years and they’ve been great every time. Customer service is fantastic – they really look after you, not just during the order process but with aftercare as well. Huge variety of products, competitive pricing, and deliveries always turn up when they should. They make the whole process easy, which is exactly what’s needed on site.

Excellent customer service from BDC

I phoned BDC for replacement hinges to a bathroom cabinet. The cabinet had been purchased some years before so I wasn’t sure if the hinges would still be available.
I called BDC and the call was answered straight away. I explained my situation to Barry who said he would investigate. By that afternoon Barry had sourced the hinges and sent me a quotation.
I phoned BDC,paid for the parts and they were delivered in a few days.
The service I received was excellent from start to finish and I would recommend your company

Superb service

We had a problem with some taps bought over 8 years ago. Upon noticing that the replacement taps had a 15 year guarantee, I contacted Customer Services, and was immediately in touch with Chantal. I can only say that her service was superb! She quickly got in touch with the supplier and kept me updated. Within 5 days, we had confirmation from the supplier that new parts were on their way to us. Communication is everything, and Chantal has this in spades. Delighted with the service from this trader, would heartily recommend.

Good bath bad delivery experience

The Bette Form bath I ordered was good value for money and the people I communicated with were very helpful.
When I was given a delivery date I organised help to unload the bath as instructed and booked a plumber for the next day. By lunchtime it had not arrived and I hadn't heard anything. When I chased up the delivery I found it was not going to be delivered until the following day, which was really annoying not to mention costly. This cost me time and money on my bathroom project. I think better communication with logistics and customer confirmation would improve experience.
