Attacked by BCA employed driver
Purchased a car from Hyundai - who contracted BCA to pick up and deliver my car.
Their driver used profanities, threw keys in my face, and slammed my car door on me. All whilst on my drive and in the presence of my 3 year old daughter.
To add insult to the ordeal, when I contacted BCA - they could not care less. Which is evident in the fact that it is 7th April today and the company have yet to respond to my calls/emails and or return emails/calls that I’ve requested.
Absolutely disgusting “service” but after seeing the 90% of 1 star reviews, I’m not surprised.
Have tried to reach out to both COO - Stuart Pearson and Managing Director - Dean Hulse and have had nothing back.
Avoid at all costs!!
Five Star Service - collection of a lease car
I was advised BCA would be collecting my car which I leased from LeasePlan / Ayvens.
Communication was 5* right up to the day but then I didn’t hear anything on the day. I called BCA at lunchtime for an update and they said someone would be with me by the end of the day. I googled the business and came across these reviews then started really panicking as they’re all 1* and many say they just don’t turn up!
A guy called Sam called me late afternoon and collected the car as agreed, did a thorough check and was very polite, friendly and professional. I’ve waited until I got confirmation of no charges from the lease company before writing this review (just in case of anything happened after my car was collected).
Thank you BCA for great service and to anyone reading, we don’t all have a terrible experience :)
Fatal
Fatal , ganas una puja y luego te dicen que el vendedor no acepta ese precio,si es subasta es subasta hay riesgos y deberían atenerse
Outstanding Finance
Bought two vehicles from BCA, both have outstanding finance attached to them, one for almost two months. Chasing every day for two weeks now- no further on!
Frustratingly, an automated response stating their terms and conditions-which they clearly do not adhere to.
Stay well clear dont lease with Santander
Well this lot have been chasing me around for a disputed few quid. They would not even accept electronic servicing docs on handover day. Ive notified Santander due to this company being so naive and petty over £65 they have lost another business, client lease. Im going back to LEX Autolease.
Not delivering paid services
Terrible customer service.
I paid for a 'Blue' account subscription, but they disabled my account 'due to inactivity' despite my paid subscription having 9 months left.
When queried on the telephone, they say there were re-activating it, but shockingly slow and I missed my desired auction.
Will report to financial ombudsman.
Zero Customer Service!
Received 5 emails and 4 text messages telling my how important it was to prepare my car for collection.
Waited and awaited all day and when I chased I was told" oh they should be with you in about an hour and half"!
BCA make it really clear that you must be ready and basically put your life on hold for their convenience. Abysmal customer service, actually no customer service. I very rarely right reviews but this terrible customer experience made me change my mind.
Purchased a bca assured car
Purchased a bca assured car, graded 2, mechanical and electrical report all green. Told by website I would get peace of mind, sadly not true...rear boot tray rattling, boot itself doesn't rise like it should. Bca dismissed claim.
Engine now overheating, sadly not within 48 hours so BCA will not help, I really don't understand how they keep operating even though they have such poor feedback.
This is the second car I've purchased with a glowing report that has turned out to be awful. I've learnt my lesson, never again!
I would strongly advise anyone using bca to find your car elsewhere. No savings to be had just a headache.
Drove back from Birmingham to London
Drove back from Birmingham to London, couple issues but we made it out alive 👍🏻
Absolute shambles
Absolute shambles. They were supposed to pick up a car from me on behalf of Black Horse as I was emigrating out of the country. The driver the assigned on the day went missing. BCA staff were completely useless and didn’t return phone calls when they said they would. Completely wasted my entire day because of their incompetence.
Recently purchased a car
Recently purchased a car. Delivery driver dropped it off and was suppose to note missing side mirror said it had dropped off. You then have 24 hours to claim (which I missed due to moving house which was bit more important than a car). Put a claim in to be told you have 24 hours, and that I had no evidence and the delivery driver lied to me as apparently there was nothing on the delivery note!! I was only asking for £11.95 to cover the cost of the mirror was was not on the grading notes. Will not buy from again, do better approaching the garages direct! This is the 3rd car I've purchased from BCA (1st one had to be scrapped, 2nd one stunk and and had bits missing, 3rd one didn't go so well). AVOID
They sold me an Automatic car but i got a Manual Transmission
They sold me an automatic car, which I had to have towed to me at my own expense. Once it arrived, I discovered it was a manual. I called them, and they didn’t care at all. I requested a full refund, including all my costs, since they lied, but they declined. I spoke with the manager, Jamie, and he was absolutely useless and didn’t care. Do not buy any cars from these scammers—they make you pay for their mistakes. He didn’t even offer me a discount for the wrong transmission. If I could, I would leave a zero-star review. These scammers have lost my trust. I’ve purchased 6 cars from them, totaling over 16k, and they didn’t even care.
The Below Outlined Rights are not…
The Below Outlined Rights are not absolved when buying from a online auction where there is no right to inspect the vehicle before the bidding process starts. These Rights are continuously taken for granted by the BCA teams especially with the essential checks. They deliberately withhold information on the day of the auction. The claim denying method they use is that although the essential report was all green we are not responsible because we provided pictures whilst at the same time even the auctioneer failed to announce any changes to the condition of the car. Legal professionals have stated this is a potential breach of Contract and potential deliberate entrapment technique as buyers would be non the wiser purchasing the car unknowing to them that further developments have taken place. The question beckons in all these cases how does a traction light ABS light battery light etc on the dashboard suddenly appear after the essential report was taken and when pictures are taken how have these lights suddenly propped up as well as what is the essential report not updated and why are notes not added and why doesn't the auctioneer announce this!!! It's not hard so how come they don't do these things potentially because they potentially deliberately mislead buyers.
1. Breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Under Section 11, goods must match the description provided. The BCA listing implied the vehicle passed its essential checks, which was false.
Under Section 9, goods must be of satisfactory quality, including being free from undisclosed faults that affect usability and safety.
Under Section 49, services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. Failing to identify or disclose these defects demonstrates negligence in BCA's inspection process.
2. Breach of the Misrepresentation Act 1967
If a false statement induced me into purchasing the vehicle (i.e., the claim that essential checks were carried out and warning lights were clear), I am entitled to rescind the contract and claim damages for any losses suffered.
3. The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (Applicable to Online Purchases)
Since this was a long-distance (online) purchase, I am entitled to cancel under Regulation 29, which allows a 14-day right to cancel if full disclosure was not given before the contract was made.
4. Common Law – Contractual Misrepresentation and Breach of Duty of Care
BCA owed a duty of care to provide accurate and honest information about the vehicle’s condition. By failing to disclose key defects, they have breached this duty, entitling me to rescind the contract and seek reimbursement.
I have had really good experience…
I have had really good experience dealing with BCA, everything has been explained to me and i was very happy with professional driver.
Don't go to Bristol because pick was 11.00am I didn't get my car's til 2.00pm it not right and security at gate was aggressive with no manners there no service
Train your staff are properly
AVOID this company
AVOID this company! is a rip off! unfortunately for some people the big car companies use BCA for end of PCP contracts. So you end up having to deal with them. They will put extra charges on your invoice and you have to work hard to prove they’re incorrect and get charges taken off. And still I could not get all the charges taken off because they won’t respond. I should have used We buy any car instead. I’d be better off and for the hassle and stress they’ve caused me.
Rubbish and doggy company don’t buy…
Rubbish and doggy company don’t buy anything from BCA
The only thing guaranteed is that they will scam you - avoid these crooks.
Do not trust this company if you have a lease hire car and they come to collect and inspect your vehicle. I had a lease hire car from Alphabet who use this company to collect and inspect. The inspection seemed fine and agreed the charges. When I received the invoice they charged me extra for no reason. I spent hours trying to resolve this with them and there was absolutely no help at all. Criminals who should be shut down. Even the staff told me that they we an unethical and corrupt company! Be extremely cautious if you have any dealings with this company.
Don't work for BCA
I applied to work for BCA but was unable to complete their application form.
They require 5 years address history. I lived in Finland until 2023. There is no comment section etc to enter that address
I tried telephoning their recruitment line 3 times over 2 days and held on for 20 minutes on each occasion without an answer
There is no email address to send enquiries etc
BCA demonstrate a complete disregard for the time and effort that applicants spend when applying to work for them
Their lack of response also indicates a lack of respect, communication and the total disregard hat BCA have for the employees
The worst bunch of crooks in the car…
The worst bunch of crooks in the car auction's ever. They sell salvage cars for retail money and describe them as perfect. Buyer beware !!!! Don't buy or deal with this dishonest company.
