Birkdale Garage Doors Avis 

Had a issue with one of our garage doors which would not open (intermittent fault). Liam from the technical department patiently run through the procedure on how to rest the door and problem solved.

Rang up about a replacement garage fob for my roller shutter door , the staff were great , very quick and efficient , my fob was posted out quickly and included the programming information.

Birkdale GATEMATE® Euro Profile Long Throw Lock.
I've just fitted this lock to a garden gate.
Very impressed with the robust quality, and simplicity of design.
Everything that was needed was in the box and of good quality.
A really good experience.

Ordered a Birkdale garage door through Costco, and one of the Birkdale team quickly came out to measure up. Had to swap my order order (from sectional to roller door) due to my garage layout - and the Birkdale rep came out again to double check measurements & for me to choose new design. Costco made it difficult to sort out order changes, but Birkdale got it sorted, and a the door was fitted by Ryan & another young fitter a few weeks later - they were professional fitters who knew their stuff, were efficient & tidy, and explained how things worked. Happy with the Birkdale customer experience.

purchase 3 doors. No problem with 2, fitted and worked straight out the box.
The 3rd door however had not been set up in the factory (admitted by Liam in a phone call).
Door ripped itself apart because it didnt stop trying to close!
ordered and PAID for the parts! was walked through how to make the adjustments to stop it happening again. Was fine for weeks! then suddenly BOOM! done it again! they have REFUSED to help unless i PAY them to come and look!
tried to hide behind warranty! and all excuses going! shocking level of customer service! all future doors will be ordered elsewhere!
So we are taking legal action against them to recover the cost of the door and all the troubles it has caused!

We PAID for the parts to be sent out! Liam admitted on the phone that the door should have been adjusted in the factory! So do not LIE! the fact the adjustment worked for a few weeks and then the same problem occured suggests a problem with the door.
If you sell as supply only to the public(purchased via Amazon! Then supply instructions!)
Both the first doors worked perfect straight out the box! So do not keep trying to lay the blame anywhere than yourselves!
Maybe we go through Amazon to get. Refund! Strange how you are no longer allowed to sell on there? Why
Best option here is we go straight to court and let them sort it out!

Had one of their doors fitted 5 years ago and it has now developed major problems. Even though it was still under warranty they will not honour it as they claim it wasn't fitted by one of their official installers. I have tried for nearly a year to get them to help me - as others have said their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on! Avoid!

Absolutely superb service, claire kept me informed of my install date and also arrange an additional remote I required which was sent over night even though I said no rush.. superb service.

The installers Ryan and his colleague were pleasant, professional and did a excellent job.. Ryan also helped me program the additional remorse that was sent so can’t Thank him enough.

There was an issue with my Sectional garage door automatic opening belt. I contacted Birkdale who were good as gold from the start and explained when was the soonest they could attend to repair the problem. I sent 3 photos by email of the fault. The same 2 lads that did the installation came to do the repair. They replaced the motor belt and drive track in less than an hour. They reprogrammed 2 of my 3 keys as my son had the other and said if you have any problems at all to get in touch. They explained the reason for the initial problem which made a lot of sense. Then I received a courtesy call this morning from the main office asking if everything was OK and again to reassure me if I have any problems to get in touch straight away. From start to finish from Mark coming out for my original roller shutter door quote to the excellent looks of our Sectional Door They have all been professional happy and very enthusiastic about he company. It is a pleasure to deal with a company like that.

From our initial enquiry to the fitting the process has been faultless and the service impeccable . We didn’t have a ‘run of the mill ‘ request , but this was accommodated, and all involved ensured it was delivered to a high standard . A special mention to Sol and Ryan, the fitters . They worked hard to ensure it was fitted well. They were fabulous ambassadors for Birkdale . I would recommend Birkdale to anyone .

This is a continuation of my experience, described in a previous review.

PS10 30/09/22 Emails last week were encouraging as I was offered and accepted next Monday 03/10/22 as the day when Birkdale will fix my garage door. Payment by today was requested and so I requested Birkdale bank details. I emailed a reminder to obtain their bank details this morning. But no reply received so far. It is now 15:30 and I have the feeling things are going pear shaped once again.

PS11 03/10/22 7pm Another no show. Take note if you are thinking of buying any Birkdale products.

Just had garage door fitted Adrian and co very proficient. Lovely door so quiet. Would recommend birkdale and Adrian to all.

I needed a part which I broke and it was sent out in the post in 2 days then I spoke to Liam who kindly gave up 25 mins of his expert time and got my door working he was so polite and had so much patience and very experienced

A big thank you for all your help and speedy delivery, assistance and finished product.

The door was easy to fit with good general DIY skills/ practical knowledge.

Good prior research and planning is also beneficial.

The control box and limit of setting instructions needs improvement or rewording possibly to improve clarity when unknown product.

However, a great all round product and service.

After disappointing start lack of information from surveyor once that was sorted out the door and installation was excellent, very pleased.

I contacted Birkdale after my old garage door broke. A surveyor from Birkdale came very promptly and gave me all the necessary information for me to agree to them providing a new roller door. Two very capable and pleasant young fitters came and the new door was in place within one and a half hours. Quick work, efficiently done. Everything swept clean and tidy where they'd worked and the old door taken away. Excellent experience. I highly recommend Birkdale.

The installers of our garage door arrived as promised, and the finished article was super, and works well as well as looking most attractive. Also, unlike our previous roller door, this one had extra draughtproofing.
The workmen were polite and helpful, and a credit to Birkdale.

I love my doors, I no longer have to get out of the car and heave a door open to put it in the garage and they look smart.
The day they were fitted was not good as there were problems, one door had to be cut to fit, the cable was not long enough to reach the sockets which I had had put in in the middle as advised by the surveyor.
Only one fitter came surely two would have been safer and faster. He nearly gave up, but did do it with a bit of ingenuity and must have been very late getting home.
