Sizing is a nightmare
Sizing is a nightmare. The product itself is great. I’ve used black biscuit since I was a teen and I’m 41 now. Trying to find the right size for my 9 year old is a disaster. Youth small were way too short. Emailed for advice based on his measurements, they suggested youth large. It’s gigantic on him. So he’ll land in a medium, which I now have to order again. Oh yeah, you have to pay for the return shipping yourself. So twice I have to pay for return shipping to try and get the right size. I’d give it one star if the pants themselves weren’t actually good…. If you can figure out your size

Thank you for the review. We truly value your feedback but we size very differently than other pant brands and we go by inseam and outseam as do jeans. This we felt was the best way to catch the proper fit for most players. Sometimes there is an anomaly which seems to be in your case. Did you send us an email stating that the replaced pair did not fit? No you did not, we would issue you a return label at no cost and ship out the medium if that is what your son needs. Please email sammy@black-biscuit.com to get this going. Rest assured we take these reviews very seriously and have detailed directions on how our pants are sized. We know there are choices for pants and we appreciate you choosing our brand so we stand behind our product 100% and look forward to getting that email from you and one of our staff will get this worked out.

Modern roller hockey is a scam
I don't know how to explain it but modern roller hockey has changed. I've been playing for over 30 years and the upgrades and downgrades are obvious. But roller hockey pants nowadays, made by every single company, are paper thin! Whether it's Bauer, Akelili, CCM, etc.. ALL of the hockey pants tear within an hour and ruined for $60+?? WHY ARE THE PANTS SO THIN AND USELESS NOW?! I have a pair of roller hockey pants from 20? years ago by Bauer that barely fit me but I use them because they still haven't ripped yet. Nowadays it seems like the pants are more about style and looks instead of any actual function. These Black Biscuit pants are nice looking but as I've been saying, these too are way too thin, tore in the 1st skate around and much too expensive for what you get. If they want us to keep replacing our hockey pants then make them cheaper or sell them in bundles. As is I'm done with all roller hockey pants.

Thank you for your review. Pants have changed from 20 years ago that is for sure. What we do not understand is how "they tore the 1st skate around" does that mean that you were skating and they just tore or did you fall on the cement or something? Please be more specific as we have sold thousands of pants and do not ever get feedback like yours. Feel free to email sammy@black-biscuit.com with pictures of your pants, and details on how they tore and we will look into the reason why and come back with a solution.
