low quality product

I ordered this prep board and received it on 18th March 2026.

Although the packaging was intact, the board arrived dusty — clearly stored somewhere with poor conditions.
Not the best first impression, but I let it go.

The more serious issue emerged after just two uses. I only used the board for kneading and stretching pizza dough — nothing abrasive, nothing heavy-handed — yet I discovered a chip in the surface. It was only visible when light caught it at the right angle, but it catches a fingernail. If it catches a fingernail, it is not superficial — it is a chip.

I contacted Black Rock Grill and requested either a refund or a replacement. Their response was that their "quality team" had reviewed my photos and deemed the damage superficial. A chip that catches a fingernail is not superficial by any definition, which makes me question whether they looked at the images at all or if they even have a quality team in the first place.

The board is marketed as durable, food-safe, hygienic, and having a homogeneous surface. A chip contradicts every one of those claims. I am pursuing this matter under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and will not be dropping it until I receive either a replacement that matches the product as described, or a full refund.

Faulty items and the company doesn’t care

Ordered the cast iron skillet pans and heat resistance gloves and both are faulty. They advertise the gloves as a necessity and can take heat up to 500 degrees even waving them over fire on their tiktok pages yet I used them in a 250 degree oven and the heat burned right through the gloves within seconds. Their response - they are no different to standard oven mitts, yet that’s not what their website says. I used one out of 2 of the skillet pans, following instructions as provided in the box and the second wasn’t used but yet both are covered in rust and that’s only with one use. Their response - clean them and it’s the customers fault. Yet they shouldn’t rust after one use and one that wasn’t used. It’s a health and safety issue to use rusted cookware, yet they don’t seem to care. Customer service is shocking and rude, takes ages to reply or doesn’t reply. Told me they would replace the gloves, then backtracked and then said they would need to ‘test them’. The skillet pans they refuse to refund as they’ve been used despite sending pictures to show, claimed they would activate a warranty to ‘test them’ but yet will not pay for return postage despite the fact clearly both items are faulty. Would not recommend buying from this company notified them of the issues on 27th December and nearly a month later still arguing for a resolution.

The rust you described was surface-level oxidation, which occurs naturally when cast iron is not seasoned or dried according to the instructions provided.

I have ordered White charcoal stone for…

I have ordered White charcoal stone for my grill and they sent me a black stone and for last 3 days I been Emailing them and explaining to them in nice and easy way that you sent me the wrong item and I can return it back to you guys but they been refusing me that we not paying you for your return back and saying make sure enough the cardboard box is not even damaged we need the same box so all I’m trying to say they not going to swap the item or give my refund back they keep rejecting it, never ever again ordering things from them,

worst company ever!

I already wrote a bad review back in 2023, but I made the silly mistake of giving Blackrock Grill another chance to put it right. They failed again!
I've subscribed to the 10% discount, but apparently, after a few rude emails from them, I am not entitled to it, as their records show that I made an order with them in the past (The order they weren't able to deliver and wrote a bad review about it!) JOKE!

Our records, as you've mentioned, show that you've already had the unique experience of placing an order with us in the past. Therefore, you are not eligible for a second "first order" discount.

Amazing company with a personal touch

Quite possibly one of the greatest companies I've ever purchased goods from. contacted them via online chat as I needed my new Effeuno pizza oven delivered on a Saturday (a service they don't normally offer) They couldn't have been more helpful and the oven arrived early Saturday morning with plenty of time to set up and start cooking in the evening. 100% recommended

5* Products and service. Great quality products

Purchased some rock sets , gloves and steak knives from Black Rock for my dad birthday, he so hard to buy for but is a big foodie. Fantastic customer service from start to finish and products arrived next day. Got so jealous of my dads rocks set that i got some for our house! We will be back for more!

I ordered an N3 pizza oven via Apple Pay. The following day I received a text to advise that the oven was being despatched and would be delivered the following day.

As promised the oven arrived safely delivered on a small pallet to my door.

Can’t fault the service to be honest.
