Bluebird Care - Mendip Avis 12

I hired Bluebird Care to provide 24/7 support for my Mum, but the level of service was deeply disappointing.

From the outset, we agreed that Mum would receive daily exercises and that no carers would sleep in her bedroom—something I wouldn’t even do myself. Despite having two spare bedrooms available, one of the carers moved into my parents’ room, and this arrangement was never corrected, even after I raised it with the Bluebird team.

The care plan was poorly executed. Mum was rarely taken out in her wheelchair, and her daily exercises were inconsistent at best. At times, the carers’ attitude toward her was passive-aggressive. When family came to visit, carers were often distracted, sitting on their phones rather than being present or professional.

The final straw came after we ended the contract—honoring Mum’s wish to move into a residential home. Two team members from Bluebird Care visited her unannounced, requesting direct payment. She paid without a receipt, and there was no communication from Bluebird—despite my repeated requests that all invoices be sent to her by mail.

If you are looking for reliable, respectful, and professional care for your loved ones—look elsewhere.

The induction to Bluebird is second to none. They ensure that all new staff, regardless of their previous experience, all receive the same induction and training. I have been with other care providers who do not provide such training, and it really shows. Would highly recommend Bluebird Care.

All staff from Directors, Managers, Trainer, Supervision Staff and Care Professionals I met are friendly and helpful. Managers have an open door policy which actually works!! Standards of Care for Customers and Support for staff is high. Induction training is detailed and lots of tips and supporting documentation given. Training was made fun and hands on. Would highly recommend joining the Company and so glad I am part of the team now!!

Tanya our trainer was fantastic she was very informative giving us so many tips snd advice she’s also very patient and explained everything so well and her confidence and passion has inspired me!!

They are great at communicating with the staff about their training or any think they could improve on without making it seem like you aren’t good at your role, they always help you with anything you need. Such a lovely company.

My experience had made to be great because of various achievements on how to do variuos task and being helped out when i am stuck .Due to get educated and being informed on time with Tania and Anda was a great time to cherish.All the processes like inductions and trainings have made me to have some extra ideas on how to handle tasks.Furthermore,i really thank to the staff whom i did not mention their names only to say thank you with all your efforts very pleased.

This company is A* - if you want to work for a company that fully trains you properly and has high standards this is the one for you. The recruitment process was the smoothest I've ever known and very quick professional and they were accommodating to my needs which not all care companies were. They seem to treat you properly as an individual and be respectful. Very high quality - highly recommended!
