Blue Horizon Blood Tests Avis 

What a time to be alive! Knowing we can get our basic physiological markers tested and fine out how healthy we really are, is quite remarkable.
Blue Horizon offer that service at a very reasonable price. I ordered the Gold Wellman test which covers 53 markers (I believe). The results came back within about 4 days with a report which explained what the results which were out of range meant.
My only feedback for improvement is to make the pre-paid envelope to send the bloods back in next day delivery. I needed to upgrade it from 24 hour delivery and I feel this should be part of the service.
Other than that an excellent product that enables people to really know their state of health.

What an absolute waste of time — seven months of back and forth. Yes, seven months. They send you to a private hospital, yet you can literally book your own Spire appointment directly. You don’t even need Blue Horizon. From what I gathered, they don’t seem to like Blue Horizon anyway — hardly anyone actually uses them, which makes sense now.
I did my tests in May. They messed them up. I needed testosterone and cortisol together to get a proper assessment. After months of chasing, dealing with slow emails and an unhelpful guy called Steve, they finally agreed to retest or refund partly… and then only did cortisol again without testosterone after assuring me they would do both.
Completely pointless without testosterone.
To top it off, they sent me my original test results as if that solved anything. Honestly laughable.
It’s now November. Don’t waste your time. Just go direct — they’re nothing more than a middleman, and Steve is no help at all, actually quite patronising.

If it saves one person from wasting their money, great obviously they will despond with some copy and paste nonsense.

I am a good customer and spend thousands of dollars with your company. My husband has terminal ALS and is bed bound over three years . I care for him at home. I consistently have great problem with Rebecca. Either I have to beg her couple of times for the formal receipt after I pay. Recently she emails me Requisition Form that does NOT list 33 markers that are to be tested for my husband. My lab technician whom I hired privately comes to my home and she does not honor this type of requisition. I used to deal with Anne, she was good. I had to explain it to Rebecca via email countless times and she still again sent me useless requisition form. I don't have time and energy to be back and forth with Rebecca every time I order test. I am a great customer and spent thousands of dollars with your company. I cannot have that stress. Anne is good and always able to print me proper Requisition form. I will look for another company, if you don't fix that. I am truly sick and tired of Rebecca attitude. When I write email, I write :attention Anne, but somehow Rebecca takes over. Anne was always able to send me proper requisition form.

Received home kit on Tuesday morning post back in the afternoon. Had my results on Wednesday!
Don’t think it can get any better than that !

The nurse taking my bloods was very professional and the emails received before and after the results was excellent.

Everything runs so smooth a brlliant service fast and efficient

2 stars for results. I compared with the Genova results, which were more detailed, plotted in graph form and had additional suggested actions.
5 stars for speed. The whole process was very quick.
4 stars for service. The question I had were partially answered: what should I do with the samples? Freezer, fridge or ambient? I put them in the freezer in the end.

Quick and efficient process. I ordered a test in the afternoon, it was delivered the next day. I posted the test back on a Monday afternoon and by I had my results by email on Wednesday. The results were clear and easy to understand, I feel the test was worth the price.

Great service with results before the expected time.

I used this company for parasite testing, and it was a complete waste of time and money. They don’t use next-day delivery services, which means the test results can’t be accurate. My sample was posted on Thursday morning but wasn’t examined until Monday. The company should know that many parasites — especially Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica — exist in delicate trophozoite forms that die within hours of leaving the body.

This makes the test absolutely pointless. They also don’t make it clear how long postage will take — the return sample kit includes prepaid shipping, but there’s no indication of delivery times or the impact of delays.

I don’t recommend using this business.

I have used this company for a lot of years. Their service is excellent. They are quick, efficient and not expensive. It both reassures me that I’m staying well and if any of the results are off, I have something to take to the GP to show I’m not malingering! Their kit is easy to use, if a little daunting the first couple of times, it can straight into the postbox and best of all the results are emailed with a couple of days. Can’t fault them.

For the price of the test, I was very disappointed with what was actually tested; it lacked magnesium and potassium, and was not a comprehensive blood count. My daughter had a test with Medichecks, and it was a much better test; also, the test results are graphed in her account. I found the download version very difficult to read

I managed to book an appointment with this company following their very detailed complex instructions. However, after booking, I did not receive a receipt so asked if they could send it to me. I was told that once I had booked, they would send it. Booked and contacted them again only to be told that the results now need to be sent to me before I would receive it, and that the results could take up to 29 days. I did not notice that written anywhere either on the email incorporating the instructions or on the pathology form. I informed them that I was unhappy as all I wanted was my receipt. I then got a response stating that I needed to respond to the original email that was sent to me. Bemused as to why, I did only to receive a reply that I have to wait until the results are out. Absolutely ludicrous that the goalposts keep getting moved. It as been 3 weeks since booking the test and a week since it was carried out. Still no receipt, and no results. I will never use this ridiculous company again!

Booked a blood test online and had to jump through hoops to try and get the blood test booked in, via a 3rd party mind you. I have been passed around from department to department on the phone and into the 2nd day now and I am still not able to book the blood test I paid £75...Save your time and money and go somewhere else!!!!

Added 7th Oct 2025 After said test: On arrival at Spire they had no booking for me; but apparently after showing my confirmation I was allowed to do the blood test. It’s about 10days since this blood test and no results. I have contacted them twice now. I perhaps will get this test done elsewhere as I do not trust the validity of the results I will be given after this experience. Go Spend Your Money Elsewhere!
