“To create an unique, environmentally friendly product that could really and finally stop deer damage.” That was the goal over 30 years ago of our founder Robert Ecsedy. His vision, determination and ingenuity launched and propelled Bobbex to being recognized today as the leader in safe and effective animal repellents. Bobbex Overview: A Passioned Beginning In the late 1980s, Robert “Bob” Ecsedy (last name pronounced X-City, and known as “Bob-X” to his friends) lived in Newtown, Connecticut and worked in sales. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a degree in chemistry, Bob represented various chemical companies in support of Northeast manufacturing. Bob’s personal interests centered around horticulture and gardening, serving for several years as the President of the Fairfield Horticultural Society. Once retired, Bob Ecsedy dedicated himself even further to his gardening passion, planting and managing a large garden with over 300 tomato plants. Bob used a slurry of fish products as a “more natural” fertilizer for his crops. He noticed that after using his unique mixture, deer tended to avoid eating the fertilized plants. At that moment, the “seeds for sowing a new product” were planted! Combining his chemistry background and horticultural experience, Bob began passionately tinkered with the formulation as he tested a number of changes and variations to improve repellency and longevity. Soon his formula was perfected, and Bob began offering the mixture to friends and associates for trial and comment. This included local garden centers where he took his product for a professional and unbiased assessment. The results were conclusive and unanimous: Robert “Bob” Ecsedy’s Deer Repellent REALLY WORKED! Could have been better.
Apparently, my order got lost, because after waiting a couple of weeks, I contacted the seller and they immediately recognized that something was amiss. I can, however, commend them for shipping promptly after I contacted them.

Complete failure???
I had been using a leading competitor for a couple of years on my arborvitae and black pine with excellent results. The only issue was two times a buck damaged the tree by rubbing it's antlers. They never ate the tree.
I read that it's a good idea to use a different repellant now and then so I purchased a 2.5 gallon jug of Bobbex concentrate. Using the heavier mixture I wet down the trees when the conditions were right. Less than a week later I looked out to witness a small buck munching away with considerable damage already done. I can only feel that the product didn't work at all.

Looking To Up My "Deer Repellent Game"…
Looking to up my "deer repellent game" so I did lots of reading and research. One company (BOBBEX) caught my eye repeatedly so I contacted them. Had a very informative conversation with Nora, who answered all my questions and made some very good suggestions. The delivery was extremely fast and I am confident that I have finally found the exact repellent I have been looking for.

Very good product
Very good product. I use the deer repellent and have recommended it dozens of times. My secretary tried the rabbit repellent and she was ecstatic that she now had a garden she puts so much effort into.

Order came quickly but everything smells like the deer repellent
Ordered deer repellent concentrate and tank sprayer. Arrived quickly but noticed that the box smelled. After unpacking I left everything outside the house. No obvious leak but tank sprayer smells like it was used and the concentrate bottle also. Very hard to get rid of the smell.

Follow the instructions and you'll be glad you did.
Beyond being the best product, other than a 9-foot, or higher fence around your property, Bobbex is great at keeping deer away from your plants that they love to eat. It is NOT a once-a-year treatment but must be reapplied. Just follow those instructions and if you need guidance just call their friendly and knowledgeable staff.
