“To create an unique, environmentally friendly product that could really and finally stop deer damage.” That was the goal over 30 years ago of our founder Robert Ecsedy. His vision, determination and ingenuity launched and propelled Bobbex to being recognized today as the leader in safe and effective animal repellents. Bobbex Overview: A Passioned Beginning In the late 1980s, Robert “Bob” Ecsedy (last name pronounced X-City, and known as “Bob-X” to his friends) lived in Newtown, Connecticut and worked in sales. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a degree in chemistry, Bob represented various chemical companies in support of Northeast manufacturing. Bob’s personal interests centered around horticulture and gardening, serving for several years as the President of the Fairfield Horticultural Society. Once retired, Bob Ecsedy dedicated himself even further to his gardening passion, planting and managing a large garden with over 300 tomato plants. Bob used a slurry of fish products as a “more natural” fertilizer for his crops. He noticed that after using his unique mixture, deer tended to avoid eating the fertilized plants. At that moment, the “seeds for sowing a new product” were planted! Combining his chemistry background and horticultural experience, Bob began passionately tinkered with the formulation as he tested a number of changes and variations to improve repellency and longevity. Soon his formula was perfected, and Bob began offering the mixture to friends and associates for trial and comment. This included local garden centers where he took his product for a professional and unbiased assessment. The results were conclusive and unanimous: Robert “Bob” Ecsedy’s Deer Repellent REALLY WORKED! And with that, “Bob-X” launched Bobbex! Bobbex Overview: A Dedicated Future Bob Ecsedy’s success in creating a product to keep deer away from plants was just the beginning for Bobbex Inc. I have tried just about every deer deterrent out there.
I have tried just about every deer deterrent that is available. Bobbex finally stopped the deer from ravaging my garden. I even have an outdoor camera that shows a deer sniffing and walking away from a well sprayed giant hosta. That’s great.

I ordered it a week ago and still have…
I ordered it a week ago and still have not received it. At this rate, I will have no plants left by the time it gets here. I am a first time customer, so I don't know if it is worth the wait or not. I tried to buy locally, but could not find it.

Very Effective
I have used this product for years. Because it is effective, I keep coming back for more.
I apply directly to the foliage. I have experienced no untoward effects on any of our plants. All of our favorite plants are the deer favorite plants. The only way we have found to keep them off of them is to stay Current with our application of this Bobbex product.

Too early to know.
I might rate this a 5 once I know its' performance over a growing season. I based my purchase decision on independent research and reliable recommendations.

This product stinks really bad
This product stinks really bad, but works like it says it will! I do reapply after rain, but it does the job keeping the deer from eating everything. Recommend to everyone!

Product works, but…
Product works for sure, however it is easily washed off with rain or sprinklers. The deer know to come back to my yard after the rain. It’s been almost impossible to keep them out due to all the rain in NJ this year and the abundance of deer. Yes the product works but you have to vigilant at applying after every rain.
The cap seal kept liquid in when shaking. Big problem with this in the past since it would leak out all over the bottle.

This product works great to protect my flower garden from the hordes of deer that come to my yard. I spray once a week.

Awesome product
This is an awesome product. I'm dealing with deer, groundhogs, chipmunks, voles ect. This product keeps them away as long as I treat the new growth. I have been using Bobex for about 4 years now with no adverse effects.

The delivery was quick and good
The delivery was quick and good. On the negative side, I had what I'll call an allergic reaction (dizziness, slight headache) after spraying the one for rabbits, etc. I should have worn a mask, I guess. Afterward, I remembered that the same thing had happened years ago with this product. Never happened with the Deer spray. Also neither container you sent had directions on how much concentrate and how much water, also no reference to ingredients. It would be helpful if you could let me know what's in the animal one that's not in the deer one. I'd like to know or guess at what ingredient is causing this reaction. The sprays, in my experience, are effective.

Delivery was on time and Bobbex works!
Delivery was on time. The product works great for deer. I spray heavily at first application and then about every 10 days. I always spray a couple of feet in front of plants so they get a whiff of the Bobbex before they reach my beautiful plants. Thanks God for BOBBEX!
