I visited Swindon bookers cash-and-carry for the first time today as due to recently moving to Swindon I have never scene search despicable and racist behaviour until I went to pay for my shopping and was approached by an older man who was working on the Checkout who refused to serve me due to the fact I wear a headscarf I am a white British citizen born in the UK I wear a headscarf due to my own beliefs and for the first time in 6 years of wearing a headscarf I was made to feel so disgusted an unworthy of myself by a member of the staff working there for a young girl to be looked at and judged for wearing something in this day and age is disgusting for him to point out that he will go get someone to serve people like me I can't believe in this day and age we still have people that judge people for their religious beliefs we are all the same and no one should be treated like s***

I recently got a card for theonline station 3 was ago , used it twice , then it got supend , no correspondence .as my partner does a radio broadcast from the house and a number of others as they are housebound , he also set them up

Staff very helpful.....but the prices are way more expensive than that of you're local supermarket. I can't believe it.
I will not be doing our PTAs shopping there again. Really sad as i was under the impression that wholesalers were meant to give bulk buying good discounts. Not so here.

Regular customer four years and now told their delivery service is over subscribed.

Booker Ardwick Manchester. Been a customer of this branch for over 10 years. But this incident has seriously put me off going back again. As i was checking this item (to be specific- J cloth) displayed on the shelf and put it back on the shelf, the staff came over shaking her head looking at me as if i had messed up the whole shelf (which i didn't) and then goes on pretending to put the item back in the right order. I didn't wanted to create a scene as i was with my wife, but the last draw was when we went on to next isle, she was saying something to her colleague about us which we overheard.
As we were on rush, we didn't manage to scan all the items with the handgun, the lady at the till told us to scan it ourselves!!! consequently had to move all the items from one trolley to another ourselves. And we were also fortunate enough on the same day to be trolley checked which in over 10 years never happened to us. Yes i do understand trolley checks is the procedure, but the way they did it -Utterly disappointing!
To the Manager, train your staff some customer skills.

Dreadful experience this morning at their Llandudno junction Branch. Their staff are the most miserable, unhelpful that I have come across. I got so frustrated that I left without buying anything.
@Bookers. the unshaven guy who who acting as your receptionist is incredibly unhelpful. I have had an account with you or 17 years. I will not be back.
However, its not all doom and gloom as I managed to buy the items that I wanted cheaper online via Amazon Prime!!

All of the staff were unprofessional, none of them knew the answers to the most basic of questions, and they all seemed to think it was a social club.
One member of staff pulled the shutter down half way and didn’t warn any customers, so I walked head first in to it and have had a dreadful persistent headache since! Not one member of staff offered to assist me or ask how I was. No mention of an accident book. In fact the second my foot left the store the shutter was closed behind me.

After spending 3 years using Bestway as…
After spending 3 years using Bestway as our cash and carry(see my bad write up) and having had enough of their rudeness and terrible customer services we decided to try Booker in Ardwick, Manchester, what a contrast and pleasant experience, decent flooring, lighting and music, most helpful staff and great ease getting through checkout after scanning my stock, long dated stock which made a nice change from what I usually have to purchase. The only reason I have deducted a star is due to despite having multiple stores near by I can only sign up to one website, meaning I cant check offers from other stores. We will be using you regularly from now on, keep up the good work.
