Brook Street does not respond to candidates or employees. I worked for them for six months and have sent over 3 messages on their website and nobody has responded. Lack of communication from them and impossible to make contact with them via phone. Extremely disappointed

Absolutely terrible company to work for! My daughter has been working for nearly a month & hasn’t received any proper payment! No one answers the phone! Disgraceful!!!

Absolutely shocking agency, don’t tell you what kind of contract you’re on, tell you your contract has been extended then try to lie and tell you that they never said it even when there is proof. They tell you they will help you get another assignment and then don’t bother contacting you!

Very Bad. I was asked back to a placement only 4 weeks after I left as my contract with another Agency was not exteneted. Advised the post was now with Brooke Street. I filled out everything I needed to and sent everything I needed to. I was waiting for references from 3 Agencies as I had to get references form employers in the last 3 years not a problem. I was told that the reference requests had been sent. After speaking to my referees I was tiold that they had only received the requests 3 days after I had been told Brooke Street had sent them. Now reading that I am most probablyk going to experience Pay Issues and not be able to contact anyone, It's not looking like I'll have a good experience. If it does become an issue I have already got the names of the Directors from Companies House.

Worked with brook street in a couple of public sector assignments. Brook street was helpful with providing reasonable adjustments in the workplace. Compliance checks were completed on a timely manner and if there were any issues I would be informed. No issues with receiving pay even when they updated their payroll system, although communication could be better.
They never reply to emails.
They don't call back.
They do mistakes on your pay, on your holiday hours on everything.

Terrible experience!
Leeds/Bradford assignment featured inconsistent communication from the start, last minute dismissals of staff and wages unpaid one week due a mistake made etc amid ongoing general inconsideration given to candidates' wellbeing due to a punitive, as opposed to progressive, style of comms. A stressful period of work alongside many upset colleagues due to Brook Street inadequacies, feeling undervalued and unsupported.

Had a home office job start with brook street last november, no contact called up multiple times to say yes just waiting for compliance, start date approaching soon.
Always me phoning them, called up in march and sorry the role has been put on hold ! No contact from brook street letting me know this.
Got in touch with head office and my case was handed over to Sean who was told to go through all my docs again and I would be given an alternative role.
Did this no response since march now september by the way! Have continuously been calling them, got in touch with sean through email he promised me that this would be sorted, as a new role was available so went through all clearance once again and still no job Its now september.
Trying to call them leave messges no one gets back.
Finally reached a lady called Fatima who promised me she would escalate this as the home office are taking on. That was last week still nothing back and no answer when I call, Its disgusting.
Please dont bother with this so called company.
Why home office uses these Ill never know.

Can never get them on the phone, they only do email. have had to raise multiple complaints just to have someone phone me back. when they had an office for the public to visit, they were very good. having a 9 month child, life is stressful enough, let alone being ignored by a professional company.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this company. After completing my online portal, I travelled from Leeds to Bradford on 25/05/24 for an ID check, which I was assured was all in order. Despite my efforts to follow up, my submission wasn’t reviewed until 18/07/24, when I was told some of my ID was rejected. I requested they use another ID I had already provided, but I wasn’t updated on the outcome. Turned out that the staff hadn't bothered to copy it despite telling me they had.
During an onboarding call on 24/07/24, I was given a start date that differed from what I was initially told. Due to this I left multiple voicemails with no response. When I finally spoke with someone, I was reassured that I would be contacted soon, but that never happened. On 05/08/24, I called again and was told everything was fine, just delayed.
The day before my start date for my new job, I was informed that I was expected to return to Bradford for another ID check, which I was never told about, and that they couldn't guarantee the job even if I attended. Even though I previously provided extra ID documents, they weren’t taken.
After being dragged along for so long with no clear communication or resolution, I am extremely disappointed. The lack of professionalism and clear communication has left me feeling like my time was completely wasted. Avoid them.
UPDATE: Did contact their complaints team, I guess saying sorry made my time being wasted ok.

Incompetent & very poor communication i had the misfortune of dealing with a agent who couldn't do his job Called Mo i had to chase up that my job interview date was still active due to not ever getting a confirmation email that he said i would receive in a day, he then says oh sorry someone should of contacted you because u applied for the role on indeed through Elizabeth Michael ( a different role entirely) that he cant do anything now and the interview wouldn't be happening when he already had put me forward and i had the interview date set for the 23rd he then claimed someone tried to ring and left a voicemail which nobody had done. Lying and incompetent avoid.

Had a bad bad experience with brook street from day 1.
Communication has been awful since applying for the roles I have.
I am due to start work for HMRC on Wednesday 14th August, done all my compliance checks. Had my onboarding call with HMRC to talk about my first day, equipment etc.
For then to get an email 2 days before I am due to start to say the role has been withdrawn, 2 days notice is an absolute joke.
I am now left with no job, no income as I have left my previous role.
I’d advise anyone to avoid brook street at all costs!

Phone their Kent branch after applying for a job.
Consultant was conveniently 'on the phone'. Told I would be called back. Still waiting.
Surely, a courtesy call does not hurt?
Extremely disappointed with the service and lack of communication.

Clare Addis, at Brook Street, reached out to me with an exciting opportunity to become part of the team at Qualsafe Awards.
Right from the start Clare’s friendly and warm approach made me feel at ease and I took an immediate liking to her. Her optimism and enthusiasm about me and the job role gave me a real sense of confidence going into the process too.
She liaised with them and myself around the clock to coordinate my interview and provide both parties with the information and documents needed. Throughout this Clare’s great customer service and genuine interest in helping me was clear, and was reflected in her constant endeavour to help me and prepare me for my interviews.
She set up calls prior to the meetings to go through all my preparation, which I also was able to collate using materials and coaching given to me by Clare herself, and in the end this proved invaluable as I was offered the position and am due to start soon.
I just want to say a massive thanks to Clare and express my gratitude for all her help and hard work in helping me secure this position. It is greatly appreciated and I would recommend her and Brook Street to anybody who is looking to explore a new career path.

Unbelievable lack of communication, 2 month wait to start a role as they personally had messed up my application. No one consistently in office to handle quieries. Do not recommend whatsoever
