Worst agency going. I've worked for a few. First warning sign should have been when they lost the copy of my passport they took to sign me up and then tried to BLAME ME for not getting the name of the woman who did it, when I literally went in at the time they appointed me! Then they rabg and gave me a dtart date, then rang back days later saying it was wrong, then emailed me congratulating me on starting on that date, so I rang up and they confirmed thsy had sent it to the incorrect person AGAIN. When changing deployment I was on holiday and they hounded me telling me my contract was up and if I didn't accept it that day they would have nothing for me. They reported my pay incorrectly for months, costing me more in childcare and reducing my universal credit. I made them aware and they denied it repeatedly and ignored me. When I sent workings out to prove it they started ignoring me. We got a bonus that was supposed to be including the higher amount to avoid us losing most of it to tax and they did it wrong so we got about £9 of it and the managers at the home office weren't happy. They ignored all managers at my deployment within the home office. Loads of people didn't get paid holidays and some missed wages for weeks when they chabged systems and they just kept saying "we'll sort it" left someone 3 weeks without pay whilst "sorting it" don't answer their phones. They have now caused me significant financial loss as I now owe UC over £500 for an overpayment I made them aware of in January and they took abdolutely no responsibility of and denied it even sending me proof they had reported incorrectly. I had incorrect pay reporting for SIX months and the would continually deny it. Absolutely disgusting company it needs shutting down. The amount of people they have done this to is staggering. Do not go with them. They are a hideous company. Keep sending me monthly update emails even though I've told them to stop it because I don't work for them anymore! They owe backpay from last year so lets see how that goes on top of everything else. Even ACAS advised me to get a solicitor, so looks like that's what I will be doing. Edit: Following your response, I have emailed several people as I said and have been ignored. Clearly it's a pattern because you ignored the parts of my review where I stated this!

I have just finished working with Brook Street after 2 years. My wife is disabled and I have emails stating brook street would be in touch to see how they can help. This was never backed up. I also have emails to state that no leave will be offered even though I am a carer. This is a breach of the carers act. I am still owed money as my payslips are different to what has been advised. I am owed 16 hours holiday and been told that I don’t. I also have autism pending which brook street was made aware of and never told my place of work so there was never anything out in place This is very disgusting. All the emails I have received from brook street are now being sent to the union for them to investigate. I suggest that nobody touches Brook Street and use somebody else as they don’t care about people’s disabilities and circumstances. I was forced to leave due to all these issues which has caused me to be diagnosed with depression which the union will have a copy from my doctors

My experience so far thanks to Arti has been good .
Before Arti was assigned to me was not good . No one answers the phone or responds to emails.
I am very grateful to Arti for finding me work and being very good with keeping me updated and being polite too.
Brook Street had temporary reception roles advertised online for a branch that no longer existed. I had to track down the next closest branch to the one advertised who confirmed they were dealing with these positions. After stating my attributes I was advised to send an email with all my details as they were interested in hearing more and had no response. After 2 weeks I sent a follow up email asking for the common courtesy of declining me if I did not fit their criteria. To date I have received no response to any of my communication. I feel this a lack of common courtesy to clients who are trying to find work as well as unprofessional with the lack of communication and feedback. I therefore cannot recommend Brook Street for anyone searching for work.

Personally, I have had a very good run of temp jobs via Brook Street during the past few years. Most recently I had the good fortune of working with Arti Shiani, whose professionalism I greatly appreciate. He always replies in a timely manner (give it an overnight during busy times!) and manages to keep job prospects coming even when the market is down. Granted, I am not one who looks for or needs hand-holding so working with him and Brook Street overall has been a life-saver. Note: they Are busy and don’t have time to pick up the phone, but email comms are always clear and to the point. Equally, I have never had a better payroll experience during the 15 years that I have been working the Central London temp market. If you’re a serious, conscientious professional then Brook Street’s style will work for you. It certainly has for me.

Brook Street provided a smooth and efficient recruitment process, with clear communication and support throughout. Brook Street. An organisation that refuses to do better and instead puts blame on others aswell as trying to silence them. Brook Street reported my reviews for "Harmful/Illegal content". Trust pilot temporarily withheld my reviews, Trust Pilot then followed a professional and honest check and said my review followed guidelines and put them back on the website. I love trust pilot for refusing scare tactics and pressure from organisations such as Brook street. I also left a positive review for trust pilot for being a professional and respectable organisation and urge others to do the same. They are giving us freedom of speech which is very important.
I don’t know why there are bad reviews on here, my time with brook street has been very positive!! Mia from the Newcastle office has been very helpful & friendly!
If I have a query Mia replies very fast and professionally and always gives me the information I’m looking for.
I am very happy in my new role, thank you Mia ⭐ 😁

Terrible company!!

There is no payroll number which I find bizarre in itself but the response to emails is also appalling not to mention the RUDE staff when you do finally get a response! When I finally received a back payment they underpaid me!! I’d definitely think twice before apply for a job within Brook Street, completely incompetent.

When I first contact the Public Sector section of Brooke Street Birmingham, all the people were very helpful and supportive.
In addition to this they were all very pro active.

A thorough vetting process. A lot of ID and other documentation were required, but I was guided through the process admirably by Geraldine. She kept me informed at every step of the way and was always available to answer my numerous questions.

Truly awful agency. They will mess up your salary and ignore your emails when you try and get it right. Calls to payroll go ignored and voicemail box is frequently full. 0151 242 6091 is the so called associate helpline which they don't want you to know. Good luck with getting someone to answer. Just go somewhere else!

I was kept up to date all the way, everything moved really fast and glad to say after being made redundant on 23rd Feb, im now looking forward to starting my New Role as a Credit Controller.
Would definitely recommend Brook Street to anyone looking for employment.
