I’ve had excellent experiences in branches and previous deliveries. I’ve just put in an order for ply/ plasterboard etc. I can buy one bag of cement but need to buy 30 bags of 40kg sand to qualify for delivery!!! Ridiculous!!!

Ordered online for a collection at the New Southgate branch, received a confirmation within an hour, with clear instructions on the collection process. Arrived at the warehouse, checked in and the materials were brought to my car within 5 minutes and loaded by helpful store person. Very impressed with the whole process, timings and service. Also very good range of products and competitive prices.

Incredibly quick delivery and good product
Incredibly quick delivery. Oil applied to the fence very easily and left a nice colour on the wood, slightly darker than the original colour but it still looks natural. Only time will tell how much it slows down the greying process. Also the Builder Depot price was cheaper than others at the time of purchase.

My order was supposed to be delivered…
My order was supposed to be delivered to me last week. The delivery company they hired. Wanted someone to carry each board out of his van with him and no one was there to do that. So he drove off. Now this is a delivery of just over 1 tonne. Why wouldn’t you have them deliver it with a crane as usual? It’s just stupid. The company now want to charge me 255 pounds for this experience. 60 for the non delivery that I paid and 195 pounds to restock it to cancel the order.
Incredibly incompetent they changed their story on why it wasn’t delivered 3 times and I’m clearly going to have to go through my credit card provider to do a charge back. Steer clear.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry that the delivery did not go as expected and appreciate how frustrating this situation has been.
We would, however, like to clarify some important points regarding the delivery. Due to the size and weight of this order, manual assistance is required to assist offloading the goods from the delivery vehicle. This requirement is clearly stated on the product page before purchase, again during checkout, and within the dispatch communication so that suitable assistance can be arranged for delivery. Unfortunately, when the delivery was attempted, the required assistance to offload the boards was not available and the delivery could therefore not be completed.
We would also like to clarify that the £195.30 quoted is not a restocking fee. As the order had already been dispatched and delivery attempted, this is the return charge passed on to us by the courier for transporting the goods back.
We appreciate this is not the outcome you had hoped for, but we do make the unloading requirements clear at several stages of the ordering process to help customers prepare for deliveries of this size.
