Butcher Farrell’s Meat Emporium  Avis 99

I found this place by accident when driving past on my way home from a day out. Looked them up online and really glad I did.
I was thinking about making an online order but decided to wait until I had time to drive back over and take a look. Sam was really pleasant to deal with and answer any questions I had. He explained that they do generally have more of a range in the shop compared to online... One of those things being the grass fed beef dripping which was out of stock online. Not only can I cook my steak in it, I've already whipped up a tin of skin balm with some of it. The burgers and the denver steak were lovely and we will be trying the bavette tomorrow.

The price to quality ratio is fantastic. I've already recommended to others and can't wait to return!

Absolutely love BFME, will always be a 5* from me! We came across this place mid last year (we live near Liverpool City Centre) and love a day out every few weeks down this way just to pick up our Sunday roasting joint - and any other goodies on show on the counter!

The piece of meat I ordered was at least 40% fat. I was paying for meat - not fat. Someone had to choose the meat and wrap it so I don't know why I drew the short straw. Will I shop here again? Not on this evidence.

Well thank you for your response. You might think fat equals flavour however I would argue 40% fat would put most people off? And I am not talking about "marbling" I am referring to a cob of fat that constituted 30% of the said 40%. Once trimmed (i.e. tonight hence not making a phone call as you are closed) the steak itself was very nice. It's just there wasn't much of it after the removal of the fat. I chose your company as you are quite local and were a supplier of restaurants. Perhaps it was simple disappointment after anticipating better. I am quite willing to discuss the issue, just give me the nod.

BFME are great - have made a few orders with them and the quality of meat is outstanding compared to any of my local butchers. I get it delivered to my doorstep as I’m a good distance from the shop, always comes well packaged. Easy to get in touch with to ask questions etc - would definitely (and already have) recommend !

Got these traditional sausages from Butcher Farrell and they are fantastic..some of the best sausages I’ve ever had ,cracking flavours and highly recommend these

It’ll be so hard to find another butcher with so much passion as Jonny and his team. It’s a pleasure to buy from him, and every question is always answered!

Bacon that tasted like bacon used to, steak wonderful meaty taste and so filling (have not tried the lamb and pork yet) but will order again on what I have tasted todate

Amazing 45 day dry aged ex dairy ribeye steaks - best cooked over proper lump wood charcoal so the marbling renders perfectly - wonderful flavours!

Great service from the team, sorted me out a whole Brisket and prepped it perfectly for a low and slow smoking session. The meat was such great quality and the shop itself is a meat lover’s paradise! Highly recommend!
